Good day all. For the past week, there has been a number of stories regarding an internal memo at Google that basically blasted their \u201cDiversity\u201d programs. The memo became public about a week ago, and Google to instant action.<\/p>\n

They fired the author of the memo citing his refusal to to the Social Justice Warrior line. The excuse that Google used was right out of H.G. Wells\u2019s 1984<\/a>. The termination of the author of the memo is blowing up in Google\u2019s face, and has probably opened them up to massive legal jeopardy. Here are some of the details from Bloomberg Technology<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Alphabet Inc.<\/a>\u2019s Google has fired an employee who wrote an internal memo blasting the web company\u2019s diversity policies, creating a firestorm across Silicon Valley. <\/b><\/p>\n

James Damore, the Google engineer who wrote the note, confirmed his dismissal in an email, saying that he had been fired for \u201cperpetuating gender stereotypes.\u201d He said he\u2019s \u201ccurrently exploring all possible legal remedies.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

And Mr. Damore has a whole truck load of legal remedies too.<\/p>\n

The imbroglio at Google is the latest in a long string of incidents concerning gender bias and diversity in the tech enclave. Uber Technologies Inc. Chief Executive Officer Travis Kalanick<\/a> lost his job in June amid scandals<\/a> over sexual harassment, discrimination and an aggressive culture. Ellen Pao\u2019s gender-discrimination lawsuit<\/a> against Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers in 2015 also brought the issue to light, and more women are speaking up to say they\u2019ve been sidelined in the male-dominated industry, especially in engineering roles.<\/b><\/p>\n

I can\u2019t honestly comment on any of those since I don\u2019t know all that much about them. In some cases, it seemed to me that certain people may have been going for some sort of payday and played the discrimination card. However, this one is rather…different.<\/p>\n

Earlier on Monday, Google CEO Sundar Pichai sent a note to employees that said portions of the memo \u201cviolate our Code of Conduct and cross the line by advancing harmful gender stereotypes in our workplace.\u201d But he didn\u2019t say if the company was taking action against the employee. A Google representative, asked about the dismissal, referred to Pichai\u2019s memo. <\/b><\/p>\n

Oh he did. You know this came down from on high. Now, what did the memo actually say? Surprising no one, he went after Google\u2019s antipathy to conservatives.<\/p>\n

Damore\u2019s 10-page memorandum accused Google of silencing conservative political opinions and argued that biological differences play a role in the shortage of women in tech and leadership positions. It circulated widely inside the company and became public over the weekend, causing a furor that amplified the pressure on Google executives to take a more definitive stand. <\/b><\/p>\n

And the stand they took? Well, it\u2019s about what you would expect from a bunch of Totalitarian Proglodyte Social Justice Warriors. First they denigrated him then they fired him.<\/p>\n

After the controversy swelled, Danielle Brown, Google\u2019s new vice president for diversity, integrity and governance, sent a statement to staff condemning Damore\u2019s views and reaffirmed the company\u2019s stance on diversity. <\/b><\/p>\n

In other words, \u201cHow dare this Neanderthal dare to question the correct views we expose!!\u201d<\/p>\n

In internal discussion boards, multiple employees said they supported firing the author, and some said they would not choose to work with him, according to postings viewed by Bloomberg News. <\/b><\/p>\n

Because their pwecious feewings were hurt.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are unequivocal in our belief that diversity and inclusion are critical to our success as a company,\u201d Brown said in the statement. \u201cWe\u2019ll continue to stand for that and be committed to it for the long haul.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

Following the memo\u2019s publication, multiple executives shared an article from a senior engineer who recently left the company, Yonatan Zunger. In the blog post<\/a>, Zunger said that based on the context of the memo, he determined that he would \u201cnot in good conscience\u201d assign any employees to work with its author. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cYou have just created a textbook hostile workplace environment,\u201d he wrote. He also said in a email, \u201cCould you imagine having to work with someone who had just publicly questioned your basic competency to do your job?\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

In her initial response to the memo, Brown, who joined from Intel Corp. in June, suggested that Google was open to all hosting \u201cdifficult political views,\u201d including those in the memo. <\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

However, she left open the possibility that Google could penalize the engineer for violating company policies. \u201cBut that discourse needs to work alongside the principles of equal employment found in our Code of Conduct, policies, and anti-discrimination laws,\u201d she wrote. <\/b><\/p>\n

And therein lies the problem. The memo, which I will state, I have NOT seen yet, is covered under a lot of federal and state laws. It\u2019s looking a lot like Google is the one who is violating anti-discrimination laws.<\/p>\n

Now, just what legal actions could Mr. Damore seek? Well, it looks like he has a few, according to Breitbart<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Damore has also revealed that he \u201csubmitted a charge to the U.S. National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) accusing Google upper management of trying to shame him into silence,\u201d shortly before being fired, according to CNBC<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s illegal to retaliate against an NLRB charge,\u201d Damore reportedly explained<\/a> in an email. <\/b><\/p>\n

If this pans out, Google is in an even bigger world of hurt. Heading over to the CNBC article<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Did they really use that as an excuse?<\/p>\n

Damore was fired<\/a> from Google after a manifesto which explained why there aren\u2019t more women in tech jobs and called for more ideological diversity in Google\u2019s workplace went viral online. <\/b><\/p>\n

Wait, he called for more \u201cIdeological diversity\u201d at Google? Well no wonder he was fired! He dared to think impure political thoughts!<\/p>\n

In a memo, the company claimed Damore had advanced \u201charmful gender stereotypes in our workplace,\u201d despite the fact that numerous psychologists, male and female, deemed<\/a> the manifesto to be scientifically accurate. <\/b><\/p>\n

Scientifically accurate means nothing when it comes to the Gods of Diversity. For the Proglodytes, it will always be \u201cDiversity Uber Alles! Sieg Heil!\u201d With liberals, facts mean nothing. It will always be socialism and totalitarianism, and Google has just demonstrated that the ideals of America have to be destroyed at all costs.<\/p>\n

Well, I think it\u2019s going to cost Google, or Goolag as I\u2019m starting to see on the internet, big time. Goolag has really shot itself in the foot, and as more information is coming out on just how badly anyone who has the slightest centerist or conservative views is being denigrated, threatened and retaliated against.<\/p>\n

Now, with all this, the DoJ might just decide the time has come to start looking into Goolag\u2019s employee practices and how poorly they protect anyone who disagrees with the politics of the management. Then there are the anti-trust issues people have been discussing, not to mention Goolag\u2019s business practices. They\u2019ve already gotten the European Union pissed off at them, now they\u2019re getting America pissed at them too.<\/p>\n
