Senator Mitch McConnell, aka \u201cThe Turtle\u201d is currently the Senate Majority Leader. The problem with him is, he\u2019s not to popular and isn\u2019t doing a very good job. Actually, with the exception of keeping Obama\u2019s choice to replace the late Justice Scalia off the Supreme Court, The Turtle\u2019s tenure to date can be summed up with two words. He\u2019s got somewhere between a 9-18% approval rating. If he were coming up for reelection, that would be a \u201cI\u2019m announcing my retirement from public life.\u201d moment. Add to that the anticipated losses among the Democrats and you could have a sea change in the Senate. The question is, who will take over for The Turtle if all his Uniparty Cronies get waxed. This is a question asked <a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2017\/08\/10\/heres-who-could-replace-mcconnell-as-senate-majority-leader\/?utm_campaign=thedcmainpage&amp;utm_source=Facebook&amp;utm_medium=Social\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>by The Daily Caller not to long ago<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>Should Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell step down from the top position in Congress, Republicans will be looking for someone savvy enough to accomplish a difficult legislative to-do list and trusted by the president. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>How about someone who remembers why the Hell they were sent to Washington in the first place and who won\u2019t hesitate to \u201cCrack the whip\u201d on some of the RINO\u2019s who screwed over their constituents. You know, someone like John McSlime.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/mccain.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-16166\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/mccain.jpg?resize=183%2C189\" alt=\"\" width=\"183\" height=\"189\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>President Donald Trump has not held back in his repeated criticisms of McConnell. Trump blames him for failing to repeal Obamacare in the first six months that Republicans controlled both the Congress and the presidency.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>And President Trump is right to do so. McConnell and the rest of the Beltway Uniparty, (GOP(E) wing), have had years to prepare plans to ditch Obamacare, gut the regulatory agencies, overhaul the immigration system and scrap and rebuild the tax code. Instead, they stood aghast at the fact that Donald Trump won the election and is actually trying to keep his promises. Honestly, If McConnell actually worked for Donald Trump, he would have long ago heard these words:<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=75SEy1qu71I<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>A Senate majority leader under Trump has a difficult job of working to pass complex legislation, including Obamacare repeal, immigration reform, tax reform and a massive infrastructure spending bill, in a sharply-divided chamber with a slight majority. Here\u2019s their list of names.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><i>John Cornyn<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>As the number two in GOP Senate leadership, current Majority Whip Sen. John Cornyn would be the obvious replacement for McConnell. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>And right there is why he should not be selected. McCockless\u2019s entire team needs to be sent to the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Knacker\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">knackers yard<\/a>. They\u2019re all proven failures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><i>Thad Cochran<\/i><\/strong><i> <\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>As the second most senior Republican in the Senate, Sen. Thad Cochran of Mississippi holds a commanding position in the body. Lindsey Graham is one of the most outspoken members of the Republican caucus. He\u2019s polished on the Senate floor and knows how to grab headlines. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com\/originals\/ac\/04\/24\/ac0424525685b63bf9487d03b3f49f9f.png?resize=333%2C263&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"333\" height=\"263\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Oh FUCK NO! That spineless open borders illegal alien loving weasel only won a third term because the primary field challenging him was so large. Most of the Republican base in South Carolina are having a serious case of Buyers Remorse. He\u2019s another RINO that is probably in his final term, although we\u2019re stuck with him until 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><i>Orrin Hatch<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch is one of the most senior Republicans, and the second most senior senator in the chamber. While he considered retiring in 2018, he decided to stay to help Trump fight against the ingrained Washington establishment.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Yet another Beltway Uniparty twerp. He\u2019s just another bought and paid for shill for the Open Borders, Chamber of Commerce crowd. Honestly, most of the Trump voters just don\u2019t trust him. He should retire in 2018 and spend more time with his family.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><i>Chuck Grassley<\/i><\/strong><i> <\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley has been in the Senate since 1981. He\u2019s proved adept at attracting co-sponsors on his bills and resolutions, ranking third highest for that particular skill in 2015, according to GovTrack. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s also older then dirt, and his brain has long since fossilized. 36 years in the Senate? He\u2019s just another poster child for term limits.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><i>Shelley Moore Capito<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>Having the support of Trump may not be as important as having the respect senators representing Trump supporters, but West Virginia Sen. Shelley Moore Capito has both. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t know anything about Senator Capito. Looking at her <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shelley_Moore_Capito\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wikipedia page<\/a>, she definitely has one thing going for her. She isn\u2019t some ancient hack who is terrified of losing her seat. It doesn\u2019t hurt that President Trump seems to like her.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><i>John Barrasso<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso is a relatively new senator (he was elected in 2006), but in his tenure, he\u2019s served on an impressive number of committees. He now chairs the Committee on the Environment and Public Works and leads the Senate Republican Policy Committee.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Serving on \u201cAn impressive number of committees\u201d is not something I would crow about. All it tells me is that there are to many committees. Still, he\u2019s also has the support of President Trump, and he hasn\u2019t been in the senate since the Sun first ignited. As for his opinion of Mitch the Turtle?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>Barrasso has \u201cevery confidence in Leader McConnell, as does the rest of the conference. His leadership remains indispensable for unity and legislative success this fall,\u201d he said in a statement to The Daily Caller News Foundation. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Well, that was&#8230;underwhelming. Another term might be \u201cDamning with faint praise.\u201d If I supported someone in leadership, I would be a bit more optimistic in my praise. When I hear someone say \u201cI have every confidence\u201d, it tells me they have no confidence in that person.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i.pinimg.com\/originals\/54\/eb\/3d\/54eb3dda21d42dbc8d7dff5043ccfbfb.jpg?resize=304%2C266&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"304\" height=\"266\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Overnight, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20171115084844\/http:\/\/www.foxnews.com:80\/politics\/2017\/08\/23\/trump-mcconnell-portray-themselves-as-united-after-rift.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fox News posted a story<\/a> regarding the rift between President Trump and Mitch \u201cThe Turtle\u201d McCockless and that they are unified and fully working together. That\u2019s obviously the public statement. Behind the scenes, I have little doubt that President Trump has had enough of McConnell\u2019s inability to get the job done.
