Good day all. Time for a little change up form the usual rantings and ravings I like to indulge in. In this case, we have a story out of Cleveland, Ohio about two criminals who decided to rob a Taco Bell. It didn\u2019t end well…for the robbers.<\/p>\n

To begin with, I don\u2019t eat at Taco Bell. I don\u2019t particularly like fake Mexican food. Saying that, I might just have a reason to start going. Why you ask? Well, here are the details from CBS Pittsburgh<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Police say three employees of a Cleveland Taco Bell opened fire on two armed robbers, killing one. Police have said two masked robbers entered the restaurant early Wednesday and ordered three employees to lie on the floor. Police say three other employees pulled out handguns and opened fire, shooting one of the suspects six times. The other suspect ran off. <\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Wait, what? They let one of them get away? I think these three need to work on their target selection and team work. Still, one of these goblins put down is a good start.<\/p>\n

The Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH\u2019-guh) County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office on Thursday said the man killed was 24-year-old De\u2019Carlo Jackson. Investigators say Jackson was found with a loaded gun in his hand. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead. <\/b><\/p>\n

Actually, I suspect he was pronounced \u201cVery well ventilated.\u201d<\/p>\n

No one has been arrested. The employees who opened fire are said to be two 19-year-old men and a 23-year-old man. <\/b><\/p>\n

A Taco Bell spokeswoman told Cleveland.com the company is \u201cshocked\u201d by the shooting and is offering counseling to employees.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I think I can see where this may be going. Corporate headquarters is shocked, SHOCKED, that they had employees who decided that their lives and safety was a bit more important then corporate policies usually designed to get their employees killed. By this I mean that most corporations such as the holding company that owns Taco Bell usually have a policy in place denying their employees any means of defending themselves.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know the area this took place in, but I suspect it may have a small crime problem. (Now reduced by one criminal) I would also assume that the three people who were packing had all the proper permits, if any are required in Ohio. (I am not familiar with how the 2nd<\/sup> Amendment is embraced in Ohio and will let people comment on this below) I also do not expect anything more then a pro forma investigation into the three men who used their rights under the 2nd<\/sup> Amendment to protect themselves, any customers in the store as well as company assets.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, I also expect these three to be fired within a week or two. I\u2019ve seen this happen in the past, including an incident just down the street from the Anger Central Primary Dwelling. Some goblin went into the local gas station at night and pulled a knife on the clerk and started moving around the counter. The clerk pulled a gun and the goblin ran for his life. The company fired the employee for violating their policies on being armed and daring to defend himself. He found a new job in 2 days I understand.<\/p>\n

A tip of the hat to these three fine, upstanding citizens, and hopefully, the goblin that got away will soon be captured and sent away for a very long time. I understand that in cases like this, the criminal who lived can be charged with felony murder due to the death of his cohort in stupidity. I\u2019ll let the legal beagles confirm or deny this.<\/p>\n
