Good day all. Since the election, the left has been working to shut down anyone who has anything to say that the left doesn\u2019t like. Primarily, this has been the Anti 1st<\/sup> Amendment group known as Antifa. Now the Black Lives, (And no one else\u2019s), Matter morons are getting into the act. One problem. They shut down an ACLU Free Speech event.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Black Lives, (And no one else\u2019s), Matter group, or BLM, has basically evolved from a group protesting what they see as unjustified police actions into a black version of the Ku Klux Klan. In other words, a racist group of thugs who will attack anyone or anything that isn\u2019t them. As for the American UnCivil<\/i><\/span> Civil Liberties Union, they have a tendency to pick and choose which parts of the Constitution they actually support.<\/p>\n

With regards to the 1st<\/sup> Amendment, they tend to be rather militant in people\u2019s right to speak. However, this left wing group has now run afoul of the other left wing group, the BLM. Here are the amusing details from Reason.com<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Students affiliated with the Black Lives Matter movement crashed an event at the College of William & Mary, rushed the stage, and prevented the invited guest\u2014the American Civil Liberties Union’s Claire Gasta\u00f1aga, a W & M alum\u2014from speaking. Ironically, Gasta\u00f1aga had intended to speak on the subject, “Students and the First Amendment.” <\/b><\/p>\n

The disruption was livestreamed<\/a> on BLM at W&M’s Facebook page. Students took to the stage just a few moments after Gasta\u00f1aga began her remarks. At first, she attempted to spin the demonstration as a welcome example of the kind of thing she had come to campus to discuss, commenting “Good, I like this,” as they lined up and raised their signs. “I’m going to talk to you about knowing your rights, and protests and demonstrations, which this illustrates very well. Then I’m going to respond to questions from the moderators, and then questions from the audience.” <\/b><\/p>\n

And just how did that work out for you Claire?<\/p>\n

It was the last remark she was able to make before protesters drowned her out with cries of, “ACLU, you protect Hitler, too.” They also chanted, “the oppressed are not impressed,” “shame, shame, shame, shame,” (an ode to the Faith Militant’s treatment of Cersei Lannister in <\/b>Game of Thrones<\/b><\/em>, though why anyone would want to be associated with the religious fanatics in that particular conflict is beyond me), “blood on your hands,” “the revolution will not uphold the Constitution,” and, uh, “liberalism is white supremacy.” <\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

So, it didn\u2019t go quite as you expected Claire. Why am I not surprised? As to the reasons for all this, well, the racist BLM thugs were provided an opportunity to spew their garbage.<\/p>\n

This went on for nearly 20 minutes. Eventually, according to the campus’s <\/b>Flat Hat News<\/b><\/em>, one of the college’s co-organizers of the event handed a microphone to the protest’s leader, who delivered a prepared statement. The disruption was apparently payback for the ACLU’s principled First Amendment defense of the Charlottesville alt-right’s civil liberties. <\/b><\/p>\n

The event organizers eventually gave up and canceled the event. This didn\u2019t stop the Nazi like tactics of the BLM.<\/p>\n

Organizers then canceled the event; some members of the audience approached the podium in an attempt to speak with Gasta\u00f1aga, but the protesters would not permit it. They surrounded Gasta\u00f1aga, raised their voices even louder, and drove everybody else away. <\/b><\/p>\n

So, they resorted to the usual tactics of the left, threats and intimidation. And as for the college? Their response was a complete joke.<\/p>\n

The college released what can only be described as an incredibly tepid statement:<\/strong><\/p>\n

William & Mary has a powerful commitment to the free play of ideas. We have a campus where respectful dialogue, especially in disagreement, is encouraged so that we can listen and learn from views that differ from our own, so that we can freely express our own views, and so that debate can occur. Unfortunately, that type of exchange was unable to take place Wednesday night when an event to discuss a very important matter \u2013 the meaning of the First Amendment \u2014 could not be held as planned. \u2026 <\/b><\/p>\n

Silencing certain voices in order to advance the cause of others is not acceptable in our community. This stifles debate and prevents those who’ve come to hear a speaker, our students in particular, from asking questions, often hard questions, and from engaging in debate where the strength of ideas, not the power of shouting, is the currency. William & Mary must be a campus that welcomes difficult conversations, honest debate and civil dialogue.<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

How moonbat of the college administration. I guess they haven’t been paying attention to what\u2019s been happening to the enrollment levels at other institutions that have let the moonbats and precious snowflakes run rampant. Long story short, enrollments are plummeting and that\u2019s causing major budgetary issues. They\u2019ve had to close dormitories, cancel classes and actually layoff staff.<\/p>\n

What should have happened was every single one of these \u201cstudents\u201d, if they actually were students, should have been informed that their conduct was unacceptable, and that if they do this again, they will be expelled.<\/p>\n

These students have clearly made up their minds about free speech: they don’t want to share it with anyone else\u2014especially Nazis, but also civil liberties lawyers who happen to be experts on the thing they are willfully misunderstanding: the First Amendment. Their ideological position is obviously incoherent\u2014Liberalism is white supremacy? What?\u2014and would not stand up to scrutiny, which is probably why they have decided to make open debate an impossibility on campus. They really shouldn’t get away with this. <\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

But they will be allowed to get away with it, and with even more. By their remarks, \u201cThe Revolution will not uphold the Constitution\u201d you can see just what they have in mind. They want to overthrow the Constitution of the United States and institute some form of socialist totalitarian state. Another word for this is \u201cTreason\u201d, but I have no doubt these blithering idiots have no clue what that means.<\/p>\n

\"Barking<\/a><\/p>\n

They also seem to forget that the constitution they despise is what keeps them from being turned back into slaves. This is what you get when you allow incompetent morally questionable and intellectually challenged professors into a classroom. They take young skulls full of mush and turn them into moonbats, proglodytes and future drains on society. Forget the warnings, they should be expelled right now. They\u2019re obviously way to stupid for anything but speed bumps on the highway of life.<\/p>\n
