Good day all. As more and more victims of Pervy Winestain come forward, (Now that he can no longer wreck their careers), many of them started posting tweets on their Twitter accounts. Twitter, being even more tone deaf then usual, decided to suspend the account of one of Pervy\u2019s victims.<\/p>\n

Twitter is well known for it\u2019s intolerance for anyone who voices none Politically Correct ideas. They\u2019re almost as bad as Faceplant. However, they finally managed to top themselves this week when the suspended the account of one of Pervy Winestain\u2019s victims, actress Rose McGowen for 12 hours. Here are the details of Twitter\u2019s epic stupidity from The Hollywood Reporter<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

The actress, who has emerged as a Hollywood voice in the Harvey Weinstein sexual-assault scandal, revealed that Twitter had locked her account on Wednesday night. <\/b><\/p>\n

Rose McGowan had a hold placed on her Twitter account Wednesday night, an act that quickly sparked outrage among the many users who have been following her posts ever since news first broke of the allegations against Harvey Weinstein. <\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The actress, who has emerged as a Hollywood voice after finding herself thrust into the center of the developing story of sexual misconduct, harassment and assault allegations against the movie mogul, took to her Instagram and Facebook accounts to relay the news of her temporary suspension, writing cryptically that “TWITTER HAS SUSPENDED ME. THERE ARE POWERFUL FORCES AT WORK. BE MY VOICE. #ROSEARMY.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

She added a screenshot from a message from Twitter telling her that she had violated their terms of service and that she would be locked out for 12 hours once she deleted certain tweets. She posted the message late Wednesday night. <\/b><\/p>\n

Nice going Twitter. Now you\u2019re showing the world that you will not protect the victims of a sexual predator. What\u2019s next for you? Aiding ISIS in online bidding for sex slaves? The excuse you made doesn\u2019t pass the smell test either.<\/p>\n

As of 7:20 a.m. PT on Thursday, Twitter had unlocked McGowan’s account, telling <\/b>THR<\/b><\/em> the temporary lock was due to the actress tweeting out a private number, which falls under the private information violation under Twitter Rules. McGowan deleted the post to regain access. <\/b><\/p>\n

“We have been in touch with Ms. McGowan’s team,” Twitter’s chief spokesperson, Kristin Binns, said in a statement. “We want to explain that her account was temporarily locked because one of her tweets included a private phone number, which violates our Terms of Service. The tweet was removed, and her account has been unlocked.” <\/b><\/p>\n

Binn added, “We will be clearer about these policies and decisions in the future. Twitter is proud to empower and support the voices on our platform, especially those that speak truth to power. We stand with the brave women and men who use Twitter to share their stories and will work hard every day to improve our processes to protect those voices.” <\/b><\/p>\n

First, I don\u2019t follow Rose McGowen on Twitter. Although I do have a twitter account<\/b><\/a>, I really only use it to post links to new blog entries. Occasionally, I might throw something insulting to trolls, liberals and other idiots up there as well. Apparently, Ms. McGowen has been letting fly at Pervy Winestain and his enablers, and this probably tripped off one of their internal \u201cProtect the Rich Liberal\u201d applications.<\/p>\n

News of the temporary suspension caused a storm of protest on Twitter overnight, and her name remained a Twitter trending topic well into Thursday morning. Many users were quick to point out that white supremacists and even President Donald Trump could consistently provoke outrage and not have their accounts called into question \u2014 assuming McGowan had been flagged for a Weinstein-related post. Hollywood voices, from Patricia Arquette to Jeffrey Wright, also lent themselves to the outrage. Prolific producer Judd Apatow said simply, “But Trump can threaten war.” <\/b><\/p>\n

Twitter, as well as Faceplant and other so called \u201cSocial Media\u201d sites have real problems when it comes to people speaking their minds. Usually, they will go after conservatives, and that\u2019s when you usually seen Twitter being slammed upside the head. As for President Trump? If Twitter caved in to the demands of the moonbats and shut his accounts down, Twitter would take a massive hit right in the bank accounts. (I read somewhere, and can\u2019t provide links or citations, that blocking Trump would cost Twitter a quarter to a third of it\u2019s revenue. Take that with salt please)<\/p>\n

McGowan has not tweeted since her account was unlocked. <\/b><\/p>\n

Well, that doesn\u2019t surprise me. Perhaps Ms. McGowen has decided to move over to a new platform, one that doesn\u2019t decide what is \u201csuitable\u201d to post. I\u2019m thinking, Gab<\/a>, something I signed up for a few weeks ago. I personally haven\u2019t not run into the Twitter Ban Hammer, although we have run afoul of Faceplants Politically Correct censors.<\/p>\n

Twitter is probably circling the drain, and may end up as the next Yahoo or Alta Vista. Yahoo is all but dead and most of you probably never heard of Alta Vista. (Bing it, Google it or ignore it) Eventually, all these Social Media platforms are going to get slammed by a government or a court. I also suspect someone is going to dream up a decentralized platform that can\u2019t be censored.<\/p>\n
