Good day all. It\u2019s been about 24 hours and now calls for Senator Al \u201cThe Groper\u201d Franken to resign from the senate are being heard.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been long known that Al Franken is a total ass, but until now, we didn\u2019t have actual photographic evidence that he was a sexual predator as well. Now the calls for him to resign are starting. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Al Franken’s political future has been thrown into doubt as the Minnesota senator faces calls to resign in his home state on top of widespread condemnation from Hill colleagues who say an ethics probe of new sexual misconduct allegations is in order. <\/b><\/p>\n

I think we can safely say that any ethic investigation will be tossed into the trashcan of history Two words that can never be said in the same sentence are \u201cCongressional\u201d and \u201cEthics.\u201d<\/p>\n

The comedian-turned-politician has little to smile about after Los Angeles TV host Leeann Tweeden accused him of groping and kissing her without her consent during a USO tour in 2006. <\/b><\/p>\n

The Democratic senator repeatedly has apologized and sought to make amends, agreeing on Thursday to an ethics investigation.<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As mentioned above, a fat lot of good that investigation will do. To begin with, the incident occurred before this stupid little twerp even thought about running for office. Second, of late, these investigations by the ethics committees tend to use copious amounts of whitewash. We have a sitting senator on trial right now and the committee has done…nothing. As to the apologies, he\u2019s just trying to save his ass, nothing more.<\/p>\n

Whether the fallout stops there remains to be seen.<\/b><\/p>\n

He\u2019s a Progressive Democrat. Of course it will all blow over. Now if he had been a senatorial candidate from Alabama, and was being accused of inappropriate behavior occurring 40 years ago, with no proof and questionable credibility of the accusers, why he would be told to step aside and hand the seat of to a…Democrat.<\/p>\n

While most congressional Democrats have stopped short, two prominent Democrats from the senator\u2019s home state are calling on him to leave office.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI believe it is in the best interest of Minnesotans and of women everywhere for Senator Franken to resign, and to set an example to powerful men across America that sexual harassment will not be tolerated,\u201d Minnesota state auditor and gubernatorial candidate Rebecca Otto said in a statement. <\/b><\/p>\n

Perhaps she\u2019s thinking of taking over Franken\u2019s seat, after it has been thoroughly sanitized of course, if he steps down? Of course, she\u2019s just trying to \u201cProtect innocent sleeping women in body armor\u201d from the likes of Franken.<\/p>\n

The president of the state\u2019s Democratic Farmer-Labor-Party\u2019s Feminist Caucus, Megan Thomas, told the Washington Examiner<\/a> that Franken\u2019s misconduct was \u201cevery woman\u2019s nightmare on a bus.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

And she promptly throws Franken under said bus.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe \u2018political\u2019 answer is to wait and not overreact,\u201d Thomas wrote in a Facebook post. \u201cBut I also know the next time I see him in person I will, however fleeting or unneeded, be afraid because of what he is doing in that picture. No one should fear their elected representatives, so, sadly, for me, I think the Senator should resign.\u201d <\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg, who had written in a recent column<\/a> that she was even hoping Franken would consider a 2020 presidential run, also is now calling for Franken to step aside.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI would mourn Franken\u2019s departure from the Senate, but I think he should go, and the governor should appoint a woman to fill his seat,\u201d Goldberg wrote Thursday. \u201cThe message to men in power about sexual degradation has to be clear: We will replace you.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

Mourn him? Is that mourn him in the same way Al Capone mourned everyone who happened to be in that garage one St. Valentine\u2019s day? Also, notice how she didn\u2019t say \u201cThe governor should appoint the best person possible\u201d, but should appoint a woman. No mention if she should have any qualifications other then gender of course. Oh, and being a totalitarian progressive of course. However, Franken does have the Beltway Uniparty working to protect him.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs with all credible allegations of sexual harassment or assault, I believe the Ethics Committee should review the matter,\u201d Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said Thursday. \u201cI hope the Democratic Leader will join me on this. Regardless of party, harassment and assault are completely unacceptable \u2013 in the workplace or anywhere else.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

Oh, I think we\u2019re long past credible. That picture of Der Groper going for Ms. Tweeden\u2019s \u201cassets\u201d is pretty damning. In fact, it\u2019s what is generally known as \u201cHard evidence.\u201d Compare that with the 40 year old accusations with no evidence, credible or otherwise, regarding Judge Roy Moore.<\/p>\n

The Democratic leader agreed.<\/b><\/p>\n

Oh I\u2019m sure they do. After all, this isn\u2019t a Republican, it\u2019s \u201cOne of us!\u201d and must be protected at all costs.<\/p>\n

\u201cSexual harassment is never acceptable and must not be tolerated,\u201d Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said in a statement Thursday. <\/b><\/p>\n

Unless it\u2019s a Clinton or a Democrat, then break out the broom and lift the rug.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope and expect that the Ethics Committee will fully investigate this troubling incident as they should with any credible allegation of sexual harassment.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

The allegations caught many lawmakers and supporters by surprise, as the Minnesota Democrat has been a proponent for women\u2019s rights and a leading voice in speaking out against sexual harassment.<\/b><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t you just love Progressive Liberal phonies?<\/p>\n

\u201cMany of us spent years working for Senator Franken in Minnesota and Washington,\u201d seven female former Franken staffers said in a statement on Friday. \u201cIn our time working for the Senator, he treated us with the utmost respect. He valued our work and our opinions and was a champion for women both in the legislation he supported and in promoting women to leadership roles in our offices.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

The Groper probably thought he wouldn\u2019t be able to get away with it. That, or all those former staffers were quite fine with The Groper squeezing them like a role of Charmin.<\/p>\n

But despite the support from former staffers, Democrats are still condemning Franken\u2019s alleged behavior. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said any \u201ccredible allegation\u201d should be subject to a probe, and told Fox News that \u201cwe are at a watershed moment and now is the time for Congress to overhaul how it deals with the issue of sexual harassment.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

Was this after she first said the current president, George Bush should step down? Or was this statement written down for her by one of her staffers? Poor old San Fran Nan has been getting \u201cConfused\u201d of late. Still, I don\u2019t see Al \u201cThe Groper\u201d Franken either stepping down or being forced out. He is a Democrat, and they honestly believe that the rules they hold everyone else to, do not apply to them.<\/p>\n

Still, I\u2019m just going to sit back and enjoy the show. This has taken the questionable accusations against Judge Moore and tossed them into the trash. I have no doubt that his campaign is going to use the obvious double standard by the Democrats and Mitch McConnell to good effect.<\/p>\n
