Good day all. Among all the other problems with California is all the earthquakes they have. The best known fault line out there is the San Andreas, which, as I recall, is locked outside of Los Angeles and San Francisco.<\/p>\n

Recently, they had a swarm of small earthquakes and now the panic-mongers are all screaming \u201cThe Big One is coming!! We\u2019re all gonna die!!\u201d As for the rest of the country, the general response has been, \u201cMeh.\u201d Here\u2019s what the Daily Mail<\/b><\/a> has to say about all this:<\/p>\n

Fresh fears have been raised that a huge earthquake is about to hit California <\/a>after a swarm of recent tremors. In the last week 134 earthquakes have hammered a three-mile stretch around Monterey County on the San Andreas fault. Of those earthquakes, 17 were stronger than 2.5 magnitude and six of them were stronger than 3.0, with more tremors expected in the coming weeks, experts warn. It follows fears raised last week that the ‘Big One’ is about to hit after a series of ten ‘mini quakes’ struck the same area. <\/b><\/p>\n

The \u201cBig One\u201d that geologists talk about is an expected 7-8 on the Richter Scale. While California has been preparing for a quake that size for a while now, it would still do a lot of damage and, depending on the time of day, kill a lot of California Progressives. (Well there\u2019s a silver lining)<\/p>\n

‘Any time there is significant seismic activity in the vicinity of the San Andreas fault, we seismologists get nervous,’ Thomas Jordan, director of the Southern California Earthquake Centre, told the LA Times<\/a> last year. <\/b><\/p>\n

‘Because we recognise that the probability of having a large earthquake goes up.’ <\/b><\/p>\n

The \u201cExperts\u201d have been talking about a major quake for a long time, and a number of movies have been made about a major quake. The sad thing is, most of them have absolutely no basis in reality, so hoping that California, along with all the moonbats, will collapse into the Pacific is just a dream.<\/p>\n

Despite this, Ms Baltay said the recent quakes are part of normal seismic activity and that there was no suggestion the tremors were signs of larger activity to come.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is really typical behaviour,’ she said.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s as if someone put an oil can into the fault and lubricated it.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

Well, since this is California, I doubt it would be oil they used. More likely it would be KY Jelly.<\/p>\n

Fears of California’s ‘Big One’ were stirred in May when an expert warned that a destructive earthquake will hit the state ‘imminently’. Seismologist Dr Lucy Jones, from the US Geological Survey, warned in a dramatic speech that people need to act to protect themselves rather than ignoring the threat. Dr Jones said people’s decision not to accept it will only mean more suffer as scientists warn the ‘Big One’ is now overdue to hit California. <\/b><\/p>\n

As you can see, while all the experts agree that the San Andreas is going to let go eventually, they just don\u2019t have any real idea of when. If you think that California is the only major problem, there is also another fault line offshore of Oregon and Washington State. This one is the same type that let go a few years ago and took out the Fukushima nuclear plant. When that one goes, you can say goodbye to the coastal cities of Washington and probably Oregon.<\/p>\n

As for California? Well, they\u2019ve been screaming about secession, aka CALEXIT, since President Trump won the election. Typical of the moonbats, there has been a decided lack of follow through. Perhaps Mother Nature could lend a hand for us.<\/p>\n
