Dianne Feinstein, or \u201cDiFi\u201d as she is known, has a long history of generally backing the power of government over the rights of individuals. She has repeatedly pushed bills to strip the 2nd<\/sup> Amendment out of the constitution and end private ownership of firearms. She\u2019s also never met a tax hike she didn\u2019t love and a bureaucracy she didn\u2019t want to expand. However, it seems she isn\u2019t moving into Communist terriroty fast enough for the Marxists of Kalifornistan. Here are the details of what happened recently from The Washington Times<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein<\/a> failed to win the official endorsement of the California Democratic Party<\/a> as she seeks her fifth term in Washington<\/a>, but her supporters say it won\u2019t hurt her with a broader swath of voters. <\/b><\/p>\n Oh I wouldn\u2019t be so sure about that. DiFi is a \u201cJurassic Senator.\u201d She\u2019s in her mid 80\u2019s, and honestly, probably won\u2019t finish another term in the Senate. Of course, that\u2019s the goal of the \u201cSenior members of congress.\u201d To die in office and be treated as part of the ruling class as is their due. That\u2019s been the problem for the Democrats in Congress for the last 15 years. They\u2019re dinosaurs and pretty much fossilized.<\/p>\n Party activists were more eager to back her primary challenger, state Senate leader Kevin de Leon<\/a>, who is crafting himself as a fresh face with stronger progressive credentials. However, he too failed to earn the 60 percent support he needed to win the endorsement. <\/b><\/p>\n A fresh face? I\u2019ve never heard of him so I guess that\u2019s accurate. Stronger Progressive Credentials? I guess that means he\u2019s a Stalinist and not a Trotskyite? These days, the goal of Progressives is to progress Americans into serfdom. The fact that he didn\u2019t win 60 percent either doesn\u2019t mean much. From what I\u2019ve been reading, the Communists<\/i><\/span> Democrats in Kalifornistan have a plethora of Progressives this year.<\/p>\n That means neither candidate will get the party<\/a>\u2019s seal of approval or extra campaign cash leading into the June primary. The decision came from more than 3,000 activists gathered for the party<\/a>\u2019s annual convention this weekend, an event aimed at generating enthusiasm for the midterm elections. <\/b><\/p>\n For Feinstein<\/a>, it\u2019s the first time she\u2019s failed to win the party<\/a>\u2019s backing since her first successful U.S. Senate campaign in 1994. But she also has never faced a credible primary challenger. This time around, there\u2019s no Republican running in the contest, meaning a showdown between de Leon<\/a> and Feinstein<\/a> was likely from the start. <\/b><\/p>\n There is no Republican party in Kalifornistan and longer. They self destructed decades ago. Kalifornistan is essentially a one party state, with all the problems that brings. All you have out there is the hard left, and the harder left.<\/p>\n Feinstein<\/a>, the so-called establishment pick, touted her long record in Washington<\/a> and seniority on important committees as a benefit to California. She also highlighted her track record fighting for a ban on assault weapons, including her successful 1994 bill to do so, and her work to protect U.S. gymnasts from sexual assault. <\/b><\/p>\n DiFi\u2019s so called \u201cWork to protect Gymnasts\u201d is better known as \u201cLocking the barn door after the horse has bolted, run to the next county, and made merry with all the fillies there and then died of old age. As for DiFi\u2019s first attempt at banning the 2nd<\/sup> Amendment? That law expired after 10 years and has been determined to be an utter and completely expected failure. Of course, the goal with that ban was to get a foot in the door for a total ban on private ownership of firearms and the then confiscation. However, that\u2019s something for another day.<\/p>\n De Leon<\/a>, meanwhile, has argued Feinstein<\/a> has lost touch with progressive California values and hasn\u2019t fought hard enough for young immigrants brought to the country illegally. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cIt should never take a primary challenge for California\u2019s leadership to stand up for California values,\u201d he told delegates ahead of the vote. <\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
