<\/p>\nGood day all. It seems that everyone is taking a dump on Kalifornistan these days, and with good reason. The state, once considered a great place to live and work now is listed as having the worst quality of life of all the states in the union.<\/p>\n

The state, once known as California, was once considered to be the perfect place to live, raise a family and be successful. Apparently, thanks to the Progressives, people don\u2019t want to live there any longer. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n Awards season is in full swing in California, and the Golden State just took home a booby prize of its own. <\/b>California ranks dead last among U.S. states in quality of life, according to a study by U.S. News, ranking behind New Jersey (49th) and Indiana (48th). <\/b><\/p>\n The ignominious honor reflects California\u2019s low marks in the sub-categories of environmental quality and social engagement. The latter category measures voting participation and community bonds. Californians scored poorly in part because they\u2019re simply insufferable, U.S. News suggested. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cIn addition to a healthy environment, a person\u2019s quality of life is largely a result of their interactions with those around them,\u201d the magazine wrote in a blurb accompanying the results. <\/b><\/p>\n So, basically, people in Kalifornistan are a pack of obnoxious, self centered jerks? Who would have guessed?<\/p>\n One way to measure quality life is whether residents can even afford to have a roof over their heads, and by that standard, California is failing. <\/b>2017 Harvard University report<\/a> said that one-third of renters in the Los Angeles area are \u201cseverely rent burdened,\u201d meaning they spend at least half their income on housing. The median rent for a one-bedroom apartment in Los Angeles County has increased 67%, according to Zillow\u2019s Rent Index, the Los Angeles Times reports. <\/b><\/p>\n Once upon a time, there was a joke regarding purchasing a home in Kalifornistan. A \u201cCalifornia fixer upper\u201d was a slab of concrete and a stack of lumber that you paid $1 million dollars for. These days, it\u2019s no longer a joke.<\/p>\n U.S. News ranked each state in seven other areas, which were weighted based on a survey that determined their importance to the public: health care, education, economy, opportunity, infrastructure, crime and corrections, and fiscal stability.<\/b><\/p>\n Oh, this should be very interesting. Pray, do continue.<\/p>\n Regarding its budget, California does have a balanced budget under Gov. Jerry Brown, a Democrat, but the Standard & Poor\u2019s rating agency recently warned that the good times won\u2019t last. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cCalifornia\u2019s finances are roaring back,\u201d the agency\u2019s report said. \u201cHistory would suggest, however, that any fiscal renaissance will be temporary.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n Good times, in this case, means good times for Government. Kalifornistan has been trying to balance it\u2019s budget on the backs of the people who work for a living. This means a nonstop process of raising taxes on pretty much anything the Sacramento Progressive think they can get away with. The problem here is, the state government has just about run out of other people\u2019s money.<\/p>\n If the stock market shifts from gains to losses, Standard & Poor\u2019s said<\/a>, the budget could be negatively impacted in a major way because about half of the state\u2019s revenue comes from the wealthiest 1% in California. <\/b><\/p>\n There is another issue that states like New York, Illinois and Connecticut are discovering. Eventually, the rich decide that it\u2019s in their best interests to move someplace where they won’t be beaten and robbed by the legislature.<\/p>\n California finished No. 43 in fiscal stability, No. 46 in opportunity, and No. 38 in infrastructure. <\/b><\/p>\n At one time, Silicon Valley was considered the \u201cIn\u201d place to be. Now, thanks to the total mismanagement of the Democrats, the best and brightest, along with tech companies, are looking to other places to set up shop. I question the Infrastructure rating though.<\/p>\n From what I\u2019ve heard, and this is anecdotal, Kalifornistan isn\u2019t spending money on fixing roads, bridges and dams unless they have no other choices. When you have a dam collapses because the state government won’t budget for maintenance expenses, spending the money instead on welfare, you have a real problem in priorities.<\/p>\n Kalifornistan is, to put it bluntly, a failing state. It\u2019s pension system is broke, the amount of money the Progressives can loot from the working class is shrinking, and the state is actually seeing an outflow of the productive population. What\u2019s coming in are the illegals and those who want to live on the Dole.
