Over the last week or so, there has been a bit of a shake-up in the Trump administration. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is now the former secretary of state. The Director of the CIA is taking over his job and a woman, for the first time, has been designated as his replacement at CIA.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i.pinimg.com\/originals\/1e\/3f\/78\/1e3f7892ff5d07c50211acfbc6886952.jpg?resize=500%2C318&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"500\" height=\"318\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Now the news has come out that the current National Security Advisor, H.R. McMaster is leaving. (Apparently he has been talking to President Trump about this for several weeks) His replacement is someone I had been hoping would join President Trump\u2019s team some time ago. He has asked that John \u201cThe \u2018Stache\u201d Bolton, the former Ambassador to the United Nations be his next National Security Adviser. Here are some of the details from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2018\/mar\/23\/hawks-bolton-trump-north-korea-hard-line\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>the Washington Times<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>National Security Adviser-designate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\">John Bolton<\/a>\u2019s long record of tough talk could give President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\">Trump<\/a> some much-needed rhetorical back-up in difficult upcoming negotiations with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, some security policy watchers say, even as critics warn <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Bolton<\/a>\u2019s appointment could undermine the delicate, multilateral diplomacy needed to strike a deal with Pyongyang. <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>While outgoing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/white-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">White House<\/a> national security chief H.R. McMaster was widely seen as a brake on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Trump<\/a>\u2019s policies and rhetoric in confronting the North\u2019s nuclear weapons build-up, the hawkish <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Bolton<\/a> will likely reinforce <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Trump<\/a>\u2019s own inclinations to present a tough face to Mr. Kim. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>And to that, I say GOOD! The Korean Klown, Rocketman, is a thug and a bully. The only thing he understands is threats from someone who will back them up. We\u2019re already starting to see the results, with the talk of President Trump and Rocketman perhaps meeting. The decades of pussyfooting around through multiple administrations certainly hasn\u2019t worked.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201c<b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John Bolton<\/a> is a brilliant iconoclast thinker who intuitively understands how to deal with dictators, including Chairman Kim,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/michael-pillsbury\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michael Pillsbury<\/a>, the Mandarin-speaking conservative intellectual who advised <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Trump<\/a>\u2019s transition team and has worked with nearly every U.S. administration since Richard Nixon. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Reagan_toasting.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-16344\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Reagan_toasting-199x300.jpg?resize=199%2C300\" alt=\"\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Reagan_toasting.jpg?resize=199%2C300&amp;ssl=1 199w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Reagan_toasting.jpg?resize=500%2C753&amp;ssl=1 500w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/Reagan_toasting.jpg?w=597&amp;ssl=1 597w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 199px) 100vw, 199px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>Frank Gaffney, president of the conservative Center for Security Policy, praised <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Bolton<\/a>\u2019s selection as much more than a \u201cchanging of the guard.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201c<b>It is a sea change, one that holds promise of allowing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Trump<\/a> to accomplish his national security and foreign policy objectives, rather than endlessly contend with them being sabotaged by his own insubordinate subordinates.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>Along with the proposed replacement of the cautious Rex Tillerson at the State Department by CIA Director Mike Pompeo, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Trump<\/a> \u201cwill have actual adults [in his administration] who actually want him to succeed. Hallelujah,\u201d Mr Gaffney said in a statement. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>This is one area, the replacing of people, that differs from previous administrations, both Republican and Democrat. President Trump really isn\u2019t that much of a politician. He is, however, a very successful businessman. People who are successful in business do not hesitate to replace employees who simply aren\u2019t getting the job done. The political class, they prefer to keep the square pegs in the round holes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>But others are far less optimistic about the transition from Gen. McMaster to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\">Mr. Bolton<\/a>, set to become official April 9.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i.pinimg.com\/originals\/91\/b6\/12\/91b6128b9ca6f97a426f339e80a80e3a.jpg?resize=352%2C229&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"352\" height=\"229\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That would be members of the Beltway Uniparty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Bolton<\/a>, currently a senior fellow with the conservative-leaning American Enterprise Institute, has long enjoyed the support of GOP hawks by advocating aggressively for Washington to clarify who its enemies are and to be on a war footing against nations like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/north-korea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Korea<\/a> and Iran, his positions are a source of deep unease for the left \u2014 and for many libertarians. <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>Americans who voted for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald Trump<\/a> believing he would be disinclined to start new wars should be puzzled by his decision to tap <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John Bolton<\/a> as his third national security adviser,\u201d says Christopher A. Preble, the vice president for defense and foreign policy studies at the libertarian-leaning Cato Institute.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/eye-roll.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-18582\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/eye-roll-292x300.jpg?resize=292%2C300\" alt=\"\" width=\"292\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/eye-roll.jpg?resize=292%2C300&amp;ssl=1 292w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/eye-roll.jpg?w=300&amp;ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 292px) 100vw, 292px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Perhaps Mr. Preble might try reading a newspaper? We have been at war with Iran since 1979. We just haven\u2019t done much about it since it wasn\u2019t \u201cPolitically useful.\u201d The end result was Barack Obama basically giving the Iranians everything they wanted and $100 billion in hard currency, money now being used to kill Americans. As for North Korea? Technically, we are still at war with them. We are operating under a truce, nothing more. Of course, the pantywaists and the Uniparty appeasers are not happy with Bolton.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>Within hours of Thursday\u2019s announcement of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Bolton<\/a>\u2019s pick, The New York Times published an editorial suggesting the development will derail the fragile chance of diplomacy with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/north-korea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Korea<\/a>, highlighted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr.Trump<\/a>\u2019s surprise decision earlier this month to meet Mr. Kim face-to-face before the end of May. <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201c<b>Bringing on the fiery <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Bolton<\/a> now, at a delicate moment with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/north-korea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Korea<\/a>, is a terrible decision,\u201d the editorial argued. \u201cWhile <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Trump<\/a> has often threatened <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/north-korea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Korea<\/a> with military action, he accepted Mr. Kim\u2019s invitation to a summit, brokered by South Korea\u2019s president, who is eager for a diplomatic solution to the nuclear crisis.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201c<b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Bolton<\/a>, by contrast, told Fox News earlier this month that talks would be worthless and has called South Korean leaders \u2018putty in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/north-korea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Korea<\/a>\u2019s hands.\u2019\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>The paper added that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Bolton<\/a> \u201chas argued for attacking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/north-korea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Korea<\/a> to neutralize the threat of its nuclear weapons, which could set off a horrific war costing thousands of lives.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/trump-oh-look.png\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-22948\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/trump-oh-look-300x150.png?resize=300%2C150\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/trump-oh-look.png?resize=300%2C150&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/trump-oh-look.png?resize=500%2C250&amp;ssl=1 500w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/trump-oh-look.png?w=600&amp;ssl=1 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The New York Slimes and the other Progressive mouthpieces are horrified that force might actually be the only answer. No rational person wants it, but to simply cave in and do nothing makes the odds of something far worse happening far more likely.<\/p>\n<p>If you need an example, take a look at the diplomatic maneuvers conducted by the French and British with Adolph Hitler prior to WW2. It was a disaster. They gave Hitler and the Nazi\u2019s everything they wanted and still got a war that killed 60 million people. If Chamberlain and the others had stood up to Hitler, the German Army would have removed him and the Nazi\u2019s from power. Instead, they wimped out until it was to late and the Nazi tanks started rolling into Poland.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/the_three_stooges.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-19268\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/the_three_stooges-241x300.jpg?resize=241%2C300\" alt=\"\" width=\"241\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/the_three_stooges.jpg?resize=241%2C300&amp;ssl=1 241w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/the_three_stooges.jpg?w=402&amp;ssl=1 402w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 241px) 100vw, 241px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>But one former high-level American intelligence official, who spoke on condition of anonymity with The Washington Times recently, argued that Mr. Kim very likely perceives <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Bolton<\/a> to have influence in Washington at the moment, and saw him \u2014 even prior to Thursday\u2019s development \u2014 as someone who could seriously impact <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump<\/a> administration policy toward Pyongyang. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>The former official went so far as to say they believed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/john-r-bolton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mr. Bolton<\/a>\u2019s recent advocacy for a pre-emptive U.S. military strike against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/north-korea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Korea<\/a> directly contributed to motivating Mr. Kim\u2019s reported offer in early March to halt all nuclear and missile tests in pursuit of diplomacy with Washington. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/trumpinator.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-22903\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/trumpinator-300x206.jpg?resize=300%2C206\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/trumpinator.jpg?resize=300%2C206&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/trumpinator.jpg?w=320&amp;ssl=1 320w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kim saw what President Trump did to ISIS. He unleashed the military and told them to destroy ISIS. ISIS is all but gone. Recently, there was an incident in Syria where Russian \u201cAdvisers\u201d were moving on the Kurds or something. President Trump disabused them of that idea by the very subtle means of bombing the crap out of them. If you don\u2019t think Rocketman isn\u2019t aware of what President Trump is capable of, you\u2019re dumber then I thought.<\/p>\n<p>If John Bolton\u2019s rhetoric, along with President Trump&#8217;s, achieves our goals without a shot being fired, great! We just can\u2019t count on it. Iran is a true threat to the United States and has stated repeatedly it want to destroy us. North Korea wants to conquer the south for a very simple reason. Money. South Korea is prosperous and North Korea is a joke. If Kim Il Rockets thought he would get away with it, and win, his tanks would be rolling now and mushroom clouds would be rising.<\/p>\n<p>There is on other thing that John Bolton is bringing to the Trump Administration. He will help clean out the Obama holdovers who have been leaking information, in some cases damaging national security, to the media. I don\u2019t think McMasters was all that concerned with a house cleaning.
