We\u2019ve already seen just how corrupt the Department of Justice and the FBI, at least at the upper levels has become. Now the lower level flunkies are starting to be rounded up. Here are the details on what happened from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n The top Treasury Department employee who was charged Wednesday with leaking confidential financial documents pertaining to former Trump officials was apprehended the previous evening with a flash drive containing the allegedly pilfered information in her hand, prosecutors said in court papers. <\/b><\/p>\n The dramatic arrest late Tuesday came on the heels of other high-profile, leak-related prosecutions under the Trump administration, which has pledged to go on the offensive against leakers that the president has called “traitors and cowards.” <\/b><\/p>\n And who is this deep state Obama agent?<\/p>\n Natalie Mayflower Sours Edwards, 40, a senior official at the department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), is accused of illegally giving a reporter bank reports documenting several suspicious financial transactions, known as Suspicious Activity Reports (\u201cSARs\u201d), from October 2017 to the present. <\/b><\/p>\n For those who may not remember, stories on certain people\u2019s finances started appearing in the news. It was thought they were coming from the Mueller Inquisition. Since Mueller and is minions couldn\u2019t find anything to pin on President Trump, they\u2019ve been going after others, and information has been leaking the media. Looks like it was someone else.<\/p>\n The financial transactions involved Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort, campaign official Richard Gates, accused Russian agent Maria Butina<\/a> and the Russian Embassy, federal law enforcement officials said Wednesday. <\/b><\/p>\n I\u2019m not a lawyer, but I have to wonder if these leaks, and this arrest might taint the cases and convictions Mueller has manufactured? I also wonder just how far this goes.<\/p>\n An unidentified, higher-ranking Treasury colleague was cited in court papers as a co-conspirator with Edwards, but was not charged. That person, identified only as an “associate director” at FinCEN to whom Edwards reported, exchanged more than 300 messages with a reporter via an encrypted messaging application. <\/b><\/p>\n I suspect they don\u2019t have enough to prosecute that slug, unless they can get Sourpuss Edwards to flip. I won\u2019t be surprised if this co-conspirator isn\u2019t shown the door in short order.<\/p>\n Edwards saved thousands of SARs, “along with thousands of other files containing sensitive government information,” to a government-provided flash drive, prosecutors said. She transmitted the SARs to the reporter by “taking photographs of them and texting the photographs” using an encrypted application, according to charging documents, which said Edwards eventually confessed to doing so. FBI agents obtained a pen register and trap and trace order for Edwards’ cellphone during their investigation. <\/b><\/p>\n I seem to recall that some of the classified data that ended up on Felonia von Pantsuit\u2019s bathroom mail server came from a secure air gapped network. In other words, there was no direct link to the Internet. The only way they could have been copied out was using a cellphone to take a picture of the document or transcribing it from one computer to the other. This sound like Sourpuss Edwards chose the former method of espionage.<\/p>\n The files were allegedly saved to a folder on the flash drive with the file path “Debacle\\Emails\\Asshat.” <\/b><\/p>\n I think it\u2019s safe to say we don\u2019t have a Trump supporter here. It\u2019s also safe to say that she is bone headed to the max. I guess she\u2019s never read a spy novel.<\/p>\n “Edwards is not known to be involved in any official FinCEN project or task bearing these file titles or code names,” federal authorities said. <\/b><\/p>\n The flash drive contained not only SARs, but also “highly sensitive material relating to Russia, Iran, and the terrorist group known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant,” prosecutors said.<\/b><\/p>\n Well, I hope the judge\u2019s arm is up to the book throwing that\u2019s going to be needed once the convictions come in. I don\u2019t know what the levels of classification are in this, but providing secret information on actual foreign enemies would be espionage at the very least, and could, possibly, be construed as treason as defined by the Constitution. If so, this mean we can hang the moonbat.<\/p>\n During her interviews with FBI agents, Edwards initially denied any contact with the news media, and called herself a “whistleblower” who saved the SARs for “record-keeping,” according to the criminal complaint. <\/b><\/p>\n The journalist’s name Edwards allegedly spoke with was not disclosed in court papers. But the documents list about a dozen stories published by Buzzfeed News over the past year-and-a half, including an article headlined, “GOP Operative Made ‘Suspicious’ Cash Withdrawals During Pursuit of Clinton Emails.” Another article was titled, “These 13 Wire Transfers Are A Focus of the FBI Probe Into Paul Manafort.” <\/b><\/p>\n And 15 seconds with DuckDuckGo comes back with, Jason Leopold<\/a> and Anthony Cormier<\/a>. I don\u2019t think they can be charged, thanks to the Pentagon Papers case. However, if I recall correctly, (And I may be wrong), the decision was in regards to prior restraint of publishing.
