Good day all. This week, President Trump announced that he wanted to change the color scheme on the new Presidential aircraft, known as Air Force One. The president wasn\u2019t planning on changing the paint scheme on the current aircraft, but on the new planes being built by Boeing.<\/p>\n

Currently, the colors of Air Force One are a two tone blue designed by Jackie Kennedy. President Trump\u2019s proposal is a Red, White and Black. According to the Daily Mail<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump<\/a> revealed his design this week for a new Air Force One, showing off a set of drawings in the Oval Office that replace the Kennedy-era light blue paint job with a more masculine red, white and black. <\/b><\/p>\n

Personally, I haven\u2019t decided if I like the new design. Perhaps changing the black to the deep blue of the flag would be better. It should be discussed and debated. The Democrats, however, have come out in utter opposition. They are now trying to prevent it from even being considered. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

President Trump<\/a>\u2019s plan to give Air Force<\/a> One a bolder, more updated, \u201cmore American\u201d look has some Democrats angrier than a traveler who just missed a flight. <\/b><\/p>\n

On Thursday, the president revealed mockups of a proposed new design for the presidential jet, showing a new red-white-and-blue color scheme that features a darker blue base color instead of the lighter \u201csky blue\u201d that has been used on the plane since the Kennedy administration.<\/b><\/p>\n

Hmm, perhaps the Daily Mail got the dark blue wrong and thought it was black? Honestly, I can\u2019t tell from the picture. However, I think a deep navy blue would be more appropriate then black.<\/p>\n

In approving the plan, Trump reportedly said he wanted the plane to look \u201cmore American<\/a>,\u201d rather than be painted in a \u201cJackie Kennedy color.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s going to look much better, actually,\u201d Trump said Friday morning on Fox & Friends<\/a>. \u201cI like the concept of red, white and blue. <\/b><\/p>\n

The baby blue doesn\u2019t fit with us,\u201d Trump added. <\/b><\/p>\n

Well now, I can see why the CommuNazis are fit to be tied. President Trump wants to dump the colors of the Sainted JFK and Jackie Kennedy. Of course, these days, John Fitzgerald Kennedy would have been booted from the CommuNazi part as being to far to the right.<\/p>\n

The proposed redesign comes as part of a contract with Boeing to build two new Air Force One jets to replace the current models, which are more than 30 years old. Trump reached a deal with Boeing to buy the jets for $3.9 billion \u2013 after negotiating a $1.4 billion reduction from the original estimate.<\/b><\/p>\n

And once again, we see how President Trump knows how to get value for our money, unlike the CommuNazis and a good chunk of the GOP(e).<\/p>\n

But one day earlier, a Connecticut Democrat introduced an amendment to a Pentagon spending plan that calls for congressional approval for spending on \u201cinterior, paint and fixtures.\u201d The Democrat-controlled House Armed Services Committee adopted Rep. Joe Courtney\u2019s amendment on a 31-26 vote that went along party lines, the Hartford Courant reported. <\/b><\/p>\n

Courtney told the newspaper why he introduced the amendment. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cAdditional paint can add weight to the plane, additional fixtures inside the plane can also add cost and delays to the delivery of the plane,\u201d Courtney said. <\/b><\/p>\n

What an utter load of crap. Do you know how long it will take to paint the new Air Force One(s) in either color scheme? Probably about a day. In fact, it appears from the picture that the proposed paint scheme actually uses less paint then the current one.<\/p>\n

Another Democrat, Rep. John Garamendi of California, told the newspaper that the U.S. should be careful before changing the appearance of a plane that he said is symbolic of American leadership around the globe. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Air Force One plane is iconic,\u201d Garamendi told the Courant. \u201cIt is known throughout the world. It has been the representation of the United States, the power of the president.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

Sadly, I sort of agree with this. The current paint scheme is iconic. It\u2019s also dated. The color scheme is 60 years old. Obviously, I don\u2019t recall the debate on these colors back in the Kennedy Administration, or if there was even a discussion over it. (I\u2019m not that antiquated) These days, it does appear rather feminine, and of course, the colors reflect the Democrats. (Powder Puff wimpy Blue v Red and all) However, I have found a paint scheme that the Democrats would rather have if they move away from the current one.<\/p>\n
