Recently, there was a political battle between the Senate Republicans and the House CommuNazis over a bill to provide funds to do something about this mess. The bill that came out of the house was promptly set on fire and the ashes dumped in a local landfill. Instead, the Senate bill was the one that past, over the objections of the lunatics led by Alexandria Occasional-Cortex. Now they are turning on UpChuck Schumer. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is facing a lingering political backlash from liberal House Democrats over his role in the passage of a bipartisan border bill last week, which saw House Speaker Nancy Pelosi<\/a> forced to back down from a push to include restrictions on immigration enforcement. <\/b><\/p>\n The Senate bill, which was approved by an overwhelming 84-8 <\/a>vote last week, had $4.6 billion in crucial border funding, but was met with opposition by liberal House Democrats who wanted the restrictions included. In the end, Pelosi, D-Calif., was forced to bring the bipartisan bill to a vote, amid pressure from Republicans and moderate Democrats to pass legislation ahead of the July 4 holiday break.<\/b><\/p>\n The House bill was loaded with little gems, such as turning over border security to the United Nations for \u201cExperimental purposes.\u201d It also would end all enforcement of immigration laws and throw open the borders. If the Party of Stupid in the Senate had allowed this to pass, it would have been vetoed by President Trump.<\/p>\n Now, those in the House progressive wing are turning their ire toward Schumer, D-N.Y., for allegedly not fighting for the restrictions they sought — provisions such as limiting the amount of time unaccompanied minors can spend at an influx shelter, and reducing funding for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) by millions. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cChuck Schumer f—d us,\u201d a Democratic aide told Vanity Fair<\/a> last week. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cSchumer threw all of the House Democrats under the bus and he will pay a heavy price for that,\u201d another Democratic aide told Politico.<\/a> <\/b><\/p>\n The Congressional Hispanic Caucus last week called the measure a \u201cbetrayal of our American values,\u201d and one that they will \u201cnot forget.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n The first problem those idiots have is that Schumer is not in the House of Representatives, but in the United States Senate. He can, to some extent, ignore their whining. He also understands, somewhat, that with the antics of the current crop of Marxists that came in in the 2018 midterms most are probably going to be blown out in 2020. Schumer is more concerned with the damage they\u2019re doing to the Senate Democrats chances.<\/p>\n The drama has led to reports of a rift between Schumer and Pelosi. According to The Washington Post, <\/a>Pelosi was \u201cblindsided\u201d when the Senate voted overwhelmingly for the bipartisan bill. A House Democratic aide told the outlet that Schumer \u201cdestroyed all of our leverage\u2026by not being able to hold his people.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThe Senate Democrats did us a huge disservice,\u201d Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, told the Post. \u201cThe benefit to having one chamber controlled by Democrats is you have people who can fight and win. But that requires the people in the minority chamber to also fight, even if they lose.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n Jayapal is typical of a number of leftists in the House. A naturalized citizen, (Nothing wrong with that), who never really assimilated. She also doesn\u2019t understand that her first duty is to the Constitution and the Republic, NOT the party. She isn\u2019t the worst by far. That goes to people like Alexandria Occasional-Cortex.<\/p>\n But freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., who had declared \u201cHell no\u201d to voting on the Senate bill, instead seemed to criticize Pelosi. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cWe didn\u2019t even bother to negotiate. We\u2019re immediately going to just say yes to what got passed out of the Senate?\u201d she said on CNN last week. \u201cWe are a House majority and we need to act like it.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n But one senior Republican aide told Fox News that the process was not unusual. While Pelosi represents the majority in the House, Schumer represents the minority in the Senate. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cWhat the House Democrats don\u2019t understand is they got rolled on something that is important, but they\u2019re going to get rolled again, so they need to get used to it,\u201d the GOP aide said, referring to House Democrats blasting both Schumer and Pelosi for their leadership on the bill. \u201cIt\u2019s people who clearly have not gone through a process like this before.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n They also have no intention of learning either. As far as these moonbats are concerned, they are right and everyone else is wrong, and if theese political dinosaurs are in the way, they must be eliminated. Occasional-Cortex has even said that Schumer should be primaried<\/a>, and that she\u2019s the one to do it. Of course, this assumes she manages to hold on to her seat in the house in 2020, and considering she cost people in her state thousands of high paying jobs, that is probably not going to happen.
