Good day all. The stupidity of the criminal element never ceases to amaze me. Recently, we had some petty thief try to use Lyft as her means of escape. As you might expect, it didn\u2019t end well for the criminal.<\/p>\n

This took place a couple of weeks ago in Florida. Some idiot decided paying for one of those vape systems that have become popular was beneath her, so she just stole it. Needless to say, her plans quickly went awry. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

A woman who allegedly<\/a> stole<\/a> an electronic cigarette from a Florida<\/a> gas station last week tried using a Lyft<\/a> \u2014 then an Uber \u2014 as her getaway vehicles<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n

Kate Lamothe, 24, entered an Exxon in Pinellas Park<\/a>, on July 30 and asked to buy a Juul vaping device that cost $42.79. When the clerk handed it to her, she fled the scene, according to deputies<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After she ran out of the store, Lamothe tried to “have her Lyft driver leave the location” \u2014 but the driver refused, according to an arrest affidavit<\/a> published by The Smoking Gun.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I would assume that the driver, once he or she realized what this criminal mastermind had done, told her to take a hike, booted her from the vehicle, if she was able to get inside in the first place and then locked the doors.<\/p>\n

When the Lyft driver wouldn’t help her, Lamothe apparently called an Uber and began walking away from the Exxon. Lamothe was later found inside an Uber in a nearby parking lot. <\/b><\/p>\n

Lamothe was arrested and charged with retail theft. According to online records from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, she was freed on $150 bond. <\/b><\/p>\n

I suspect she\u2019s going to get a short sentence, say 30 days or so and be forced to make restitution. In her case, a few porn films should pay the bill. I wonder if she\u2019s done the math on what her \u201cCunning Scheme\u201d is going to cost her? She will be fined, she will have to pay court fees, and possibly restitution to the store and the two drivers. This will probably come to several thousand dollars or more. The bimbo should have just paid the $48 dollars.<\/p>\n
