When Epstein was murdered<\/i><\/span> committed suicide in his cell, a number of people may have been breathing a sigh of relief. However, there were some loose ends out there that needed to be cleaned up, one of them being Jean-Luc Brunel. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n Criminal charges against Jeffrey Epstein<\/a> are set to be tossed after the disgraced financier’s shocking suicide behind bars<\/a> earlier this month, but far from closing up shop, investigators worldwide are now switching the focus of the underage sex trafficking probe to hone in on Epstein’s friends and enablers — including a 72-year-old French modeling agent and scout.<\/b><\/p>\n Jean-Luc Brunel \u2013 whose whereabouts are unknown \u2013 has long denied his involvement with any wrongdoing stemming from his relationship with Epstein. But Brunel’s denials have been met with some skepticism, as Epstein accusers have previously alleged Brunel’s \u201cscouting\u201d entailed procuring underage models for Epstein to abuse. <\/b><\/p>\n While Brunel may be able to avoid the reach of U.S. law enforcement, the Paris prosecutor\u2019s office is said to be cooperating with its American counterparts amid calls for a separate examination of Brunel\u2019s questionable history in the fashion world. It is not yet clear if Brunel will come under formal investigation in his homeland.<\/b><\/p>\n I guess that all depends on what he has and on whom he has it on, doesn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n \u201cThe United States only has jurisdiction over crimes that have a clear nexus to the United States. If charges are filed against Brunel, he may avoid extradition if the alleged crimes are not criminal where he resides,\u201d California-based criminal defense attorney Troy Slaten said. \u201cA good example of this is Roman Polanski who avoided extradition because France did not consider the conduct criminal.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n Yeah, yet another reason to hate France. Raping a 13 year old girl is just fine as far as they\u2019re concerned. However, that may not be the reason Brunel has disappeared.<\/p>\n According to 2011 court filings based on accusers\u2019 testimonies, Brunel was one of Epstein\u2019s \u201cclosest pals\u201d and he left disturbing voice messages for the repudiated financier. In one voicemail he allegedly indicated that he had a \u201cnon-blonde Russian teacher,\u201d adding that was \u201c2 x 8 years old\u201d and that Epstein could have her first. The wording subsequently raised the question, in the lawsuit<\/a>, if the girl allegedly being procured was just 8 years old or 16 years old, or if there were two 8-year-olds.<\/b><\/p>\n Even for the French, touching 8 year old girls is a very big no no. You may argue over teenage girls and their ability to make that sort of a decision, but there is no argument whatsoever regarding 8 year old\u2019s. You touch an 8 year old and you will die in prison. That may not be your sentence, but you will die.<\/p>\n Court documents also alleged that Brunel at times had used Epstein\u2019s Manhattan condos to \u201chouse young models.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cEpstein and Brunel brought underage girls from all over the world, promising them modeling contracts,\u201d the suit claimed. \u201cEpstein and Brunel would then obtain a visa for these girls, they would charge the underage girls rent, presumably to live as underage prostitutes in the condos.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
