Good day all. When Jeffrey Epstein died, many people thought that was the end of the story, that he took many of his secrets to the grave. (One reason many think he was silenced and not a suicide)<\/p>\n

However, that didn\u2019t turn out to be the case. More and more information has been coming out on just how deeply Epstein\u2019s hooks dug in. Now yet another shoe has fallen, this time in the Halls of Academia. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

A top official at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) resigned Saturday<\/a> after acknowledging this past week that he went around the university’s official designation of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein<\/a> as a \u201cdisqualified\u201d donor and continued to accept gifts from him for a prestigious research lab.<\/b><\/p>\n

Joichi Ito, the director of the Media Lab at MIT, admitted that he accepted a $525,000 donation from Epstein after he pleaded guilty in 2008 to solicitation of prostitution involving an underage victim, according to a report by The New Yorker<\/a>‘s Ronan Farrow.<\/b><\/p>\n

“After giving the matter a great deal of thought over the past several days and weeks, I think that it is best that I resign as Director of the Media Lab and as a Professor and employee of the Institute, effective immediately,\u201d Ito said in an email to the provost and president of the university that he shared with The New York Times<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n

Well, I see that Farrow has put yet another notch in his belt. He really hates perverts like Epstein and was instrumental in bringing down Harvey Weinstein. I wonder what else this guy Ito got from Epstein? Something of a more \u201cPersonal\u201d nature? Well that\u2019s for others to determine including the police.<\/p>\n

MIT President L. Rafael Reif said he had requested an independent investigation to address the “deeply disturbing allegations about the engagement between individuals at the Media Lab and Jeffrey Epstein.” Reif disclosed last month that the school took about $800,000 from Epstein over 20 years. That announcement followed the resignation of two prominent researchers from Media Lab over the revelations of Epstein’s ties to the Cambridge University.<\/b><\/p>\n

What is it with college professors? When they get their Phd\u2019s, do they have their common sense removed? Epstein was boinking teenage girls way below the legal age of consent. Did they actually think that didn\u2019t matter?<\/p>\n

However, the New Yorker reported that Epstein, a Level 3 registered sex offender<\/a> at the time, arranged at least $7.5 million in donations. That amount included a $2 million gift from Microsoft founder Bill Gates and a $5.5 million donation from investor Leon Black, with Epstein acting as a sort of proxy for the funds, according to emails dated October 2014 which were reviewed by The New Yorker.<\/b><\/p>\n

Now I know that Gates can be denser then neutronium at times, but didn\u2019t it cross his mind that having anything to do with Epstein would be a bad idea?<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Gates told the magazine that these allegations were “completely false,” and Black declined to comment. <\/b><\/p>\n

Yeah, good luck with that. Farrow knows that he has to have all his \u201ci\u2019s\u201d dotted and his \u201cT\u2019s\u201d crossed when he publishes stories that name multi-billionaires. (Personally, I doubt that Gates had anything to do with underaged girls)<\/p>\n

“[T]he acceptance of the Epstein gifts involved a mistake of judgment,” Reif said in a statement.<\/b><\/p>\n

“We are actively assessing how best to improve our policies, processes and procedures to fully reflect MIT\u2019s values and prevent such mistakes in the future. Our internal review process continues, and what we learn from it will inform the path ahead.” <\/b><\/p>\n

I think that review consists of \u201cHow the Hell do we dig ourselves out of this one?<\/p>\n

Internal emails and correspondence between MIT administrative officials also revealed how university officials went to great lengths to conceal Epstein’s identity on subsequent gifts, while simultaneously accepting high dollar donations from other wealthy donors that Epstein had convinced to contribute to the prestigious university program. <\/b><\/p>\n

Still, MIT staff members in Ito’s office refrained from using Epstein’s name when scheduling meetings with him, instead referring to him only by his initials. Signe Swenson, a former development associate and alumni coordinator at the lab who resigned in 2015 because of Epstein’s continued involvement, told the magazine that donations from the financier had to be kept “anonymous” and that some staff in Ito’s office called Epstein “Voldemort” or \u201che who must not be named,\u201d a reference to the villain of the “Harry Potter” book series. <\/b><\/p>\n

Signe Swenson, for those who may not know, is a woman of the female persuasion. If anyone would have questioned Epstein\u2019s donations, it would have been her and she obviously did. She seems to have been so disgusted with MIT that she quit, putting her ethics where her wallet is.<\/p>\n

Obviously, she was the only one there who had serious issues with the pervert. All anyone else saw, apparently, was his money. The pervert Epstein has been dead for about a month now, and rather then burying all his dirt, people are shoveling it out with backhoes. I wonder who is going to be caught out next?<\/p>\n
