This weekend the third season of Amazon\u2019s Goliath was released. The series stars Billy Bob Thornton as a burned out lawyer who takes on seemingly unwinnable cases and then wins them.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"https:\/\/i.pinimg.com\/originals\/bf\/e7\/08\/bfe708dbbfa52344ffb85e1b1a6331ec.png\" width=\"103\" height=\"206\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The first two seasons were interesting to watch as Thornton\u2019s character, Billy McBride managed to overcome all sorts of adversities to win the cases for his clients. Then we have the recently released season three.<\/p>\n<p>All I can say is, What the Hell happened? Did the writers decide this was a good time to try new drugs? This season was basically an 8 hour waste of time. The plot, I think, revolved around large scale farms siphoning off all the water from the area and causing a sink hole to open and his friend\u2019s wife falling in and getting killed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/shocked-face.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-20636\" src=\"http:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/shocked-face-300x225.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/shocked-face-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/shocked-face.png 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Or it had something to do with peyote, (Which I think the writers were using in great quantities). The plot, which could have been great was nothing more then a disjointed mess. I struggled through the entire series last weekend, and I\u2019m still not sure what the heck it was all about.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/headdesk.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-17445\" src=\"http:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/headdesk-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/headdesk-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/headdesk.jpg 449w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To begin with, the bad writing made this season about 4 hours to long. How many times can we watch Billy Bob Thornton and the others driving through the desert? The back story regarding the defendants, (And conspirators) as well as the plaintiffs was nonexistent. And Thornton\u2019s character, McBride, came across as the lowest form of lawyer, the ambulance chaser.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, and frankly who cares if it\u2019s a spoiler, one of the defendants lets Thornton\u2019s character have it with a shotgun, then drives off and gets killed in a car crash. Thornton\u2019s character, McBride, is last seen trying to get up from a puddle. I guess they decided that the best way to end the season was to leave it at a cliffhanger that can go either way. Either the McBride character survives and we have a season 4, (With a new set of writers and director I hope), or they kill him and the series off.
