Good day all, or it would be a good day if I had just come from see the new Terminator movie, Terminator: Dark Fate. Being a complete moron, I made a boneheaded move and missed the movie.<\/p>\n

I did go to the theater to see it with a reserved seat. I went in to the theater, went to my seat and noticed that I was alone in the theater. Since this was Chunkys, I ordered food and beverages while reading news on my phone. My appetizer arrived and I worked my way through it, wondering why the theater was empty.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Then I noticed the time and wondered why the previews hadn\u2019t been shown, and why the movie was late in starting. I finished my appetizer and rechecked my online ticket to confirm the time. Yes, the movie was 15 minutes late. Then I noticed the theater number.<\/p>\n

WTF?!?!?!?<\/p>\n

I quickly exit the theater and notice that\u2026<\/p>\n

I AM IN THE WRONG DAMN THEATER!!!<\/p>\n

To say that I\u2019m angry would be an understatement. Volcanic would be a better description of my mood. Not at Chunky\u2019s, but at myself for my own blind stupidity. By the time I\u2019ve figured out what the Hell I\u2019ve done, Terminator: Dark Fate has already run for a good 15-20 minutes.<\/p>\n

I go to the ticket counter and tell the poor young lady handling things that I have a problem and I need to speak with the manager. I go back into the theater, steaming mad, to get my coat, come back out and meet with the manager. A decent sort of fellow, I explain to him what happened and that it was my fault, that I had ordered food but I needed to close out my bill and pay for everything.<\/p>\n

He was quite helpful and offered to bring me to the correct seat, but since I had missed a good chunk of the movie, I thanked him and asked to pay my bill. He took care of that and was good enough to put my meal into take out boxes and, although he did NOT have to do this, gave me a pass for my ticket.<\/p>\n

I told him that wasn\u2019t necessary, since I had a free ticket and it was my fault, but he said it wasn\u2019t a problem. I\u2019ll try and see the movie later this week since I\u2019m on vacation…again. I\u2019m sure the manager was expecting an angry customer, and I was definitely angry, but I made sure he understood it was nothing Chunky\u2019s had done, but it was all on me, and that I had screwed up.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Let that be a lesson to those of you who like to blast off on staff and managers at places like this. Unless it really is their fault, (And it sometimes is), to insult them or act like a complete Hollywood Diva Dork like pretty much most of the people in Hollywood, is a good way to get yourself ignored in the future. If it is their fault, remain calm, be firm and be polite. They will usually respect you for that.<\/p>\n

If it\u2019s something you screwed up, like I just did, it\u2019s ok to be a bit steamed but it is NOT ok to take out out on the manager. Simply accept that you screwed up, make sure they know it was nothing they did, and be prepared to take your well deserved lumps. It can pay off in the future. It gets around who are the regular assholes and who the decent customers are. I try to be a decent customer.<\/p>\n
