Good day all. South Bend Indiana Mayor Peter \u201cButtplug\u201d Buttigieg is one of the Democrats running for president. He\u2019s been running on, among other things, his record as mayor of South Bend Indiana. So why are the residents of that city telling America not to vote for him?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Pete Buttigieg, who likes to call himself Mayor Pete, and who I refer to as Mayor Buttplug has held office for 2 terms. Apparently, like pretty much any Democratic CommuNazi anywhere, Buttplug has been ignoring the \u201cMinority\u201d communities. Here are some of the details from The New York Post<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

When residents of this city\u2019s impoverished West Side reflect on Pete Buttigieg\u2019s two terms as mayor, a few things come to mind: <\/b><\/p>\n

A spike in violent crime, development that largely ignored the African American community and how their only well-lit street is the one that leads to the University of Notre Dame.<\/b><\/p>\n

From what I\u2019ve read, South Bend is an outlier with the rest of the state. Pretty much all the other cities and towns are actually doing very well. Reduced crime, jobs, all the good things Democratic CommuNazis promise, and yet, never actually deliver on.<\/p>\n

So how, they wonder, can Buttigieg possibly be trusted to run the country? <\/b><\/p>\n

Well, I certainly don\u2019t trust him.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he\u2019s the next president, I fear for our country. He couldn\u2019t run our city. How can he run the United States?\u201d said Michelle Burger, 42, a stay-at-home mom who lives in South Bend\u2019s impoverished and predominantly black West Side. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cLook at all the crime \u2014 he didn\u2019t do anything about it. Look at our quality of life. If he becomes president, the United States will become one big South Bend \u2014 a giant sinkhole. We\u2019ll be in a new depression.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

One of the things I\u2019ve been reading is how Buttplug\u2019s campaign makes most soap operas look lame. The entire campaign is all #Woke with everyone taking offense at every little thing, down to ho someone leaves a pencil on a desk. Buttplug\u2019s been busy apologizing to everyone internally for every perceived slight in existence.<\/p>\n

Another West Side resident, Cornish Miller, 62, said of Buttigieg, \u201cRating him 1 to 10, I\u2019d give him a 2.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cButtigieg talked about all the improvements he made, but he hardly made a dent,\u201d said Miller, who works for a military supply company. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThe West Side is the most neglected part of town. The street I live on is the only street around here that has lights. That\u2019s because we\u2019re a gateway to Notre Dame.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Some in South Bend describe Buttigieg\u2019s mayoralty as a nightmare during which FBI data show that violent crimes surged from 622 in 2012, his first year, to 1,088 in 2018, the latest for which statistics are available.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a record number of homicides during his time as mayor, and it didn\u2019t seem like he was feeling the people\u2019s psychological, emotional and spiritual needs,\u201d said the Rev. Sylvester Williams Jr. of the Interfaith Christian Union. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIt seemed like he was focused on creating a progressive city, that he was above tending to those basic needs.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

Congratulations Reverend, you have just discovered what all Progressives consider to be progress. It has nothing to do with actual accomplishments and making things better for most people. It\u2019s all about appearances and \u201cFeelz.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of Buttigieg\u2019s fiercest critics, Councilman Henry Davis Jr., said Buttigieg was \u201cinept\u201d as mayor and \u201calways had one foot out the door.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

He cited Buttigieg\u2019s six-month deployment to Afghanistan in 2014 as a Navy Reserve intelligence officer, as well as his failed 2017 attempt to become chairman of the Democratic National Committee.<\/b><\/p>\n

Well the call up for reserve duty is not something you can just blow off. Unless there is an actual good reason, and being an incompetent mayor isn\u2019t one of them, you\u2019re going when they call you. Other then that, you are on target, keep firing for effect Councilman.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then he came back and takes off again and wants to be president of the United States,\u201d said Davis, who unsuccessfully challenged Buttigieg in South Bend\u2019s 2015 Democratic mayoral primary. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cSo he really has never been here and committed to the growth and the [functionality] of this community. It\u2019s always been a gateway to something that he believed was larger.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This sounds awfully familiar. Who else always seemed to be looking at being president while accomplishing nothing? Hmmm, don\u2019t tell me, it will come me…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

So, how did this inept nitwit become mayor?<\/p>\n

Buttigieg beat four opponents to win the Democratic primary with 55 percent of the vote and was elected in November with 74 percent of the vote. He was just 29 when he took office. <\/b><\/p>\n

But while the overwhelmingly Democratic city has more than 71,000 registered voters, Buttigieg was swept into office with just 10,991 votes and his 2015 re-election bid garnered even fewer \u2014 8,515 \u2014 even while winning 80 percent of the ballots cast.<\/b><\/p>\n

Oh great. Basically no one bothered to show up at the polls. Considering that South Bend looks like a single party city, I can see why. What\u2019s the point when all your choices are bad ones? I\u2019d also like to know where the Republican Party was in all this? The city looks ripe for a political switch.<\/p>\n

The NY Post article<\/a> goes through a list of \u201cAccomplishments,\u201d and I\u2019ll let you read them yourself. While there has been improvement, a lot of it seems to have come about in spite of Buttplug, not because of him.<\/p>\n

But Indiana Republican Party chairman Kyle Hupfer countered that while Buttigieg \u201ccertainly had a few economic development wins,\u201d he actually had \u201clittle, if anything, to do with that.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI found it ironic that when he announced his presidential run<\/a>, he did it in front of Studebaker Building 84, which had sat vacant since 1963,\u201d Hupfer said. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cBut it was $3.5 million from then-Gov. Mike Pence\u2019s Regional Cities Initiative that made that project go.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

In this case, he is referring to a plan to convert the old Studebaker plant into a tech center. As for the unemployment rate, it has dropped significantly in South Bend has it has all over the country, no thanks to people like Buttplug.<\/p>\n

Hupfer said increased employment in the area covering South Bend \u2014 where the unemployment rate dropped from 9.3 percent in 2012 to 3.6 percent in 2018 \u2014 was largely a function of \u201cstatewide economic strength under Republican leadership.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

And who do you think we have to thank for that dramatic turnaround? I know it\u2019s someone important. Just wait a moment, it will come to me. Now who was that again?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Buttigieg has long been at odds with much of South Bend\u2019s African American community, which accounts for 26 percent of the population and has a median income about half that of the city\u2019s white residents, according to a 2017 report by the \u201cProsperity Now\u201d nonprofit. <\/b><\/p>\n

Shortly after taking office, Buttigieg fired the city\u2019s first black police chief, Darryl Boykins, over allegations that Boykins secretly recorded the phone calls of high-ranking white cops suspected of using racist language against him and others. <\/b><\/p>\n

Ok, I can see a few issues here. First, we do not need police who are racists, of any skin tone or ethnic origin. Second, did the chief have the correct legal paperwork to monitor the calls? If he didn\u2019t, then he\u2019s just as bad as the cops who he was targeting, if, in fact, they were saying and doing things regarding people with a darker skin tone then mine. I assume Buttplug cleaned out the vermin in the police department, didn\u2019t he?<\/p>\n

From 2012 to 2018, the number of black cops fell by almost half \u2014 from 29 to 15, compared to more than 200 whites \u2014 and in June, the city was rocked when a white police sergeant shot and killed 54-year-old Eric Logan, who was black, while responding to a report of someone breaking into cars.<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I have a vague memory of this, but didn\u2019t read up on it. Because I have no information, I can\u2019t offer any comments, pro or con regarding the incident. However, Mayor Buttplug seems to have felt rather put upon to come off the campaign trail and actually do his job as mayor.<\/p>\n

The South Bend Board of Public Safety held eight community meetings to address the controversy, but Buttigieg only attended one, in September, a day after Black Lives Matter activists publicly complained about his response to the killing.<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Williams, who hosts a local radio show called \u201cReal Talk,\u201d pointed to another June shooting outside a bar called Kelly\u2019s Pub that left one man dead and 10 people injured, all of whom were black. <\/b><\/p>\n

The incident sparked so much community outrage that it forced a lockdown at a local hospital when more than 100 \u201cangry and upset citizens\u201d showed up there, the sheriff said at the time. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cNot one time did he try to bring some level of compassion or sympathy,\u201d Williams said of Buttigieg. <\/b><\/p>\n

He\u2019s a Rhodes scholar. He\u2019s a polished politician. He\u2019s been to a lot of schools of prominence. But there\u2019s one school he omitted \u2014 and that\u2019s the school of grief.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not surprised at all at Buttplugs lack of compassion. He\u2019s a typical Progressive Democratic CommuNazi. It\u2019s all about him, and what other can do for him. Showing up at things like this? Unless it\u2019s going to help him, he can\u2019t be bothered. He\u2019s also been slammed for his dealing with homelessness in the city.<\/p>\n

The founder of South Bend\u2019s Michiana Five for the Homeless nonprofit, John Shafer, estimated that the city had about 500 vagrants, ranging from some who are \u201ctemporarily couch surfing\u201d to others \u201cliving in abandoned vehicles, abandoned buildings, alleys, tents.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI just feel he didn\u2019t care. I also feel he couldn\u2019t relate to the homeless. And it just wasn\u2019t one of his priorities,\u201d Shafer said. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI think he did more harm than good, and any good he did was a result of him running for office and trying to cover up some of those mistakes and neglects from his past dealings with the homeless.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

To really stick the knife in, the New York Post spoke with a vagrant in South Bend. (Holy Panhandling Batman! A journalist who did actual work instead of reading publicity handouts!)<\/p>\n

A vagrant whom The Post interviewed as he panhandled near South Bend\u2019s main emergency shelter, the Center for the Homeless, said that if Buttigieg gets elected president, \u201cyou can bet you\u2019ll see a lot more people like me around the country.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Peter Buttplug is yet another Progressive Liberal Democratic CommuNazi. He only cares about himself and moving ahead. He will do his job, ineptly, only to protect himself as he looks for his next gig. Right now, he see\u2019s his next gig not as Governor of Indiana, (A job where he will actually have to show up for work), but as President of the United States of America.<\/p>\n

His policies aren\u2019t much different from Comrade Bernie\u2019s, which is expected since Buttplug is a Red Diaper baby<\/a>. His military service seems to have been driving an admiral or general around, at least that\u2019s what I\u2019ve been hearing. He certainly wasn\u2019t getting shot at every day like many people I\u2019ve spoken to over the years. While the DNC might be able to stomach Pete Buttplug over Bernie Sanders, his record as mayor is going to be grist for President Trump\u2019s Twitter mill, if he gets the DNC nomination. The last thing this country needs is yet another inept moonbat who puts \u201cFeelz\u201d over accomplishment.<\/p>\n
