Good day all. Well the Progressives are dropping like flies hit by a can of RAID. Pete Buttplug, the mayor of South Bend Indiana, (when he bothered to show up for work), has announced that he is dropping out of the race.<\/p>\n

Buttplug\u2019s rise was a bit of a surprise, until you realized he was being pushed up by the Mostly Stupid Media. They saw him as a white Obama, instead of being black, he was gay. That didn\u2019t help him much as other then a questionable win in Iowa, he hasn\u2019t amounted to much of anything. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Pete Buttigieg told supporters he’s ending his presidential campaign on Sunday, a campaign source confirmed to Fox News, in an abrupt and surprising\u00a0pullout that further narrows the field of Democrats less than a month after he declared victory<\/a> in the contested Iowa caucuses.<\/b><\/p>\n

Buttigieg had been scheduled to headline a rally in Dallas, Texas on Sunday night. The charter plane has been rerouted to South Bend, Ind., where Buttigieg will announce that he is dropping out, Fox News has learned.<\/b><\/p>\n

But what about the half dozen or so supporters that will be waiting to hear from him? Now they will actually have to go to work. Oh the horror! The horror!<\/p>\n

A campaign aide told Fox News that Buttigieg wants to unite the party. Hours earlier, speaking to NBC News’ “Meet the Press,” Buttigieg vowed that “we’ll be assessing at every turn not only what the right answer is for the campaign, but making sure that every step we take is in the best interest of the party and that goal of making sure we defeat Donald Trump — because our country can’t take four more years of this.”<\/b><\/p>\n

We can\u2019t take four more years of what? Prosperity? Low unemployment? Lower taxes? Making the United States First with no equals? Personally, I think we will be able to muddle through.<\/p>\n

Buttigieg narrowly defeated rival Bernie Sanders by delegate count in Iowa, but has since suffered a string of defeats culminating in his drubbing in South Carolina on Saturday, where he finished fourth, behind billionaire Tom Steyer. <\/b><\/p>\n

That had to hurt, losing to someone dealing with a midlife crisis. Well, it\u2019s all over for Buttplug. Now he will have to return to South Bend Indiana and actually do the job he was voted into office to do. Don\u2019t let the door hit you on the way out.<\/p>\n
