Good day all. Oh who the Hell am I kidding? I\u2019ve just done my taxes and I have my theme song running through my head. It goes, \u201cI owe, I owe, it\u2019s off to the IRS my money goes\u2026\u201d Yes, I\u2019m going to have to shell out quite a bit this year and I\u2019m not happy.<\/p>\n

I did see a nice bump in my take home pay, thanks to President Trump\u2019s tax cuts, but that isn\u2019t where I\u2019m getting hit. It\u2019s capital gains taxes where I\u2019m taking it in the shorts. I\u2019ve been investing in the stock market for decades, and my annual dividends are hitting the take off point. Because of this, The Progressive Liberal Democratic CommuNazis want to take it all away from me because \u201cIt\u2019s not fair that I know how to handle my money.\u201d<\/p>\n

Oh, excuse me. The Progressive\u2019s money. They just let me keep a small amount, and if the current idiots have their way, they\u2019ll take that as well. If you have been paying any attention to the candidates on the Democratic CommuNazi side, all you\u2019ve heard is \u201cWe\u2019re going to raise your taxes so we can give illegal aliens and those to lazy to work lots of free stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

Well, I knew I was going to have to pay this year, and pay…and pay some more. What really pisses me off is I have to actually pay money to my state government, New Hampshire. I found out last year that if you do well with your dividends, they want a cut. They should treat dividend income like they treat regular income, (What you get paid from your job), and not tax that either.<\/p>\n

I used Intuit\u2019s TurboTax again this year and I wasn\u2019t happy with it. It pulled most of my financial paperwork in from my financial institutions, but I still had to spend a good 4 hours going through everything and making corrections. (I pulled the actual documents in from my financial and investment firms) I had to go through each entry and manually make changes to give an accurate assessment. I think my review of TurboTax this year isn\u2019t going to be as glowing as usual. Needless to say, I\u2019m not filing my taxes until the last possible moment.<\/p>\n

I want to keep getting interest and dividend payments, and not give that to the Government. Now you might be wondering why I didn\u2019t get any sort of a refund. This is intentional on my part. If you are getting a refund, it means you are withholding to much, and are, for all intents and purposes, giving Uncle Sam an interest free loan.<\/p>\n

If I were dictator, I would do away with the withholding system, and change the filing date to the first Monday in November. Since the elections are on the first Tuesday, think of all the outraged voters going to the polls. It would be better then term limits. Of course, the Deep State Swamp dwellers of the Beltway Uniparty will never do anything like this. They have strong allergies to rope, tar and feathers. Still, one can dream.<\/p>\n
