Good day all. One of the things we have discovered, thanks to the \u201cGreat Panicdemic of 2020\u201d, is just how much of our pharmaceutical industry has been outsourced to China. Recently, China\u2019s President Xi threatened to withhold drugs and other medical materials from the United States.<\/p>\n

This has led to President Trump once again doing something that he should never have had to in the first place. Issue an Executive order preventing government agencies from buying medical equipment from China. Here are the details from the Daily Caller<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

White House Director of Trade and Manufacturing Policy Peter Navarro confirmed Wednesday the administration is working on an executive order to eliminate the government\u2019s reliance on foreign-made medical supplies. <\/b><\/p>\n

The \u201cBuy American\u201d order comes on the heels of concerns expressed by senators during their Tuesday meeting with President Donald Trump on Capitol Hill.<\/b><\/p>\n

Nice of these globalist morons to finally take notice of the damage they\u2019ve done to America over the last 30 years.<\/p>\n

Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said that during the meeting on easing coronavirus-related financial pressures on Americans, he asked Trump to support the Senate\u2019s \u201cefforts to invest in diversifying our supply chain, especially in pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

I do believe that this won\u2019t require ANY arm twisting towards President Trump. He\u2019s been working to get manufacturing and other means of production the globalists have been shipping out to places like China, back into America, where it belongs.<\/p>\n

As the United States has battled the domestic spread of coronavirus, consumers were alerted to the fact that China manufactures an overwhelming percentage of the federal government\u2019s medical equipment. 90 percent of all U.S. antibiotics were manufactured in China<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n

I have to be honest, when I read that statistic, I was shocked. I thought a lot of these drugs were made in the United, States, Puerto Rico and Europe. To have this much manufactured controlled by potentially hostile government is the height of stupidity, bordering on treason.<\/p>\n

China has prevented the export of surgical face masks, severely limiting supplies in the U.S. and countries around the world.<\/b><\/p>\n

Part of that is their own needs at home, (Understandable), and part of it is to throw their weight around.<\/p>\n

\u201cChina has managed to dominate all aspects of the supply chain using the same unfair trade practices that it has used to dominate other sectors \u2014 cheap sweatshop labor, lax environmental regulations and massive government subsidies,\u201d Navarro told New York Times. \u201cAs President Trump has said, what we need to do is bring those jobs home so that we can protect the public health and the economic and national security of the country.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

He added that the EO would cover more than 400 \u201cessential medicines\u201d that \u201csatisfy the priority health care needs of the population.\u201d Additional products targeted in the order include \u201cmedical countermeasures\u201d made to protect against chemical and biological threats, radiation, nuclear fallout and infectious diseases like coronavirus<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n

The hard part regarding the orders and other things is logistical. It\u2019s going to take time for manufacturers to ramp up production. Many of the machines that were used to make these medical supplies were either scrapped or…shipped to China.<\/p>\n

Not everyone is happy with the idea of bringing the medical manufacturing process back home to the United States. One who is opposed to this is a former FDA associate commissioner under that well known Globalist RINO, President George W. Bush. In a column in the Washington Times, Peter J. Pitts writes<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The president\u2019s order, while well-intentioned, is poorly considered. As conceived, it could actually impede efforts to bring new coronavirus treatments to patients. In order to defeat COVID-19, we need help from our global partners who have the expertise to deliver key ingredients. Now is not the time to upend long-established and robustly regulated supply chains.<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Most medicines have two types of ingredients: active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and the ingredients that help deliver the active component to somebody\u2019s system (the \u201cexcipients\u201d). Manufacturers source raw materials \u2014 usually chemicals \u2014 from all over the world, and bring them to a central location to synthesize both elements. <\/b><\/p>\n

Today, most API manufacturing takes place overseas. Teva Pharmaceuticals, the world\u2019s largest API manufacturer, has facilities in 10 countries, including Israel, China and Hungary. India and China lead the world in API production. Those two countries produce at least 80 percent of all APIs. According to the FDA, just 28 percent of facilities that make APIs for the U.S. market are located domestically. The remaining 72 percent are international.<\/b><\/p>\n

And in case you haven\u2019t noticed my dear Globalist, China has threatened to cut off that supply to the United States. I wouldn\u2019t be at all surprised if some of those ingredients are only manufactured in China. As for India, President Trump has been working very hard to build our relations with them and his recent trip showed that the people of India appreciate it. However, India is also being affected and they have to help their people. They might be forced to curtail exports, not out of malice, but of need.<\/p>\n

Trying to reorder these supply chains via executive diktat would be a disaster. Waiting for companies to get new production lines up and running in the United States would certainly lead to drug shortages. Once such an order hit, manufacturers would stop producing APIs overseas. And, while they race to build facilities and hire workers that can actually do the job, no new drugs would get produced. At a time when hospitals need all the supplies they can get, any delays would be catastrophic to the public health.<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Oh how little regard you have for the ingenuity of Americans you Globalist scumbag. President Trump is taking the dead hand of government off manufacturers, and will be working with Congress to get appropriate legislation into place. His order stops buying from China, not places like India. (Don\u2019t think the Indians aren\u2019t going to pick up on that dumbass)<\/p>\n

It will take some time to rebuild the manufacturing base, but it will be rebuilt. Puerto Rico, once they throw all the Democrats running the government into prison, will be an excellent location, along with other areas not in Kalifornistan, Illinois or other states currently being regulated to death by the ruling Progressive Liberal Democrat elites. We tried globalism and found that it does far more harm then good. Now it\u2019s time to reverse course and bring those jobs, including medical manufacturing, back home.<\/p>\n
