The city announced there would be a $1000 fine if you didn\u2019t comply. To date, a large number of people are not complying and I have not heard anything about fines being issued. (Probably due to a large number of people grumbling and muttering about Article 10 under their breaths) I was arguing about this with several coworkers at my Real World Job. My manager agrees with me in most things, (Which is scary all by itself), but some of the younger members of the team of gone full Paranoid Germophobe Hypochondriac and wear masks everywhere and won\u2019t go out of their homes.<\/p>\n

I told them that there was a good chance this would be challenged in court, and now it has, along with the Governor\u2019s emergency declarations. Here are some of the details from CBS Boston<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n Gov. Chris Sununu\u2019s executive order renewing New Hampshire\u2019s state of emergency was challenged in a virtual hearing Thursday, (June 18th<\/sup>) morning. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThe point of the shutdown was to prevent our hospitals from being overrun with COVID,\u201d said Robert Fojo, attorney for Nashua resident Andrew Cooper. \u201cOur curve always remained flat. We didn\u2019t even need to flatten it.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n This is actually very accurate. We only had a couple of confirmed thousand cases, and I believe less then 300 people sadly, passed away. Of those, most were elderly or had preexisting conditions. It\u2019s also believed that a few larger number of people had the China Virus, but never knew it. (We believe it hit my Real World Office last January)<\/p>\n Fojo argued that emergency measures that appeared to be constitutionally appropriate months ago \u2013 like shutting down schools and the economy \u2013 are no longer appropriate. <\/b><\/p>\n Which is true. In fact, there is some questions regarding Sununu\u2019s original order to destroy the State\u2019s economy. However, the Governor and Solicitor general have other ideas.<\/p>\n \u201cMany of us have disagreements with public officials on many things,\u201d said Solicitor General Daniel Will, \u201cbut, as the U.S. Supreme Court emphasized, this is an area we entrust to our elected officials who are charged with the protection and safety of our citizens.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n It isn\u2019t just the state\u2019s actions, Mr. Fojo is also going after the City of Nashua\u2019s order to wear masks or else.<\/p>\n Cooper\u2019s attorney also challenged the latest Nashua city ordinance, which requires the use of face masks. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThis ordinance is ridiculously intrusive,\u201d Fojo said. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cIt requires a mask in places where someone is likely to come within 6 feet of another person,\u201d said the city\u2019s attorney, Steve Bolton. <\/b><\/p>\n I like to walk around Nashua, and I can safely say, this ordinance is being ignored. More and more people are walking outside, now that the weather has warmed up and I doubt more then 10-15% are wearing masks, or if they are, they have them hanging around their necks. Of course, the City attorney defended the actions of the leftists running the city. According to WMUR<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n Nashua city counsel Steven Bolton said the city has the statutory authority to order mask wearing to deal with an overriding public concern. <\/b><\/p>\n “The Nashua citizenry is at risk,” Bolton said. “The face-covering ordinance reduces that risk.” <\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
