Good day all. Detroit, Michigan is also known as \u201cMotor City.\u201d This nickname came about because the \u201cBig Three\u201d automakers were based there. Of course, thanks to the incompetence of the Democrats, a significant amount of the manufacturing has moved to other states. Now, Governor Gretchen Whitmer wants to finish the job.<\/p>\n

Wretched Gretchen is, arguably, the worst governor in the 50 states, and considering who else is in the running, that\u2019s saying something. She has used the Great Panicdemic of 2020 to initiate what amounts to a dictatorship in Michigan. Now that the state is opening back up for business, despite her decrees, Wretched Gretchen won\u2019t let go. Now she is threatening to order the shutdown of all the auto manufacturing plants in Michigan. Here are the details from the Detroit Free Press<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

General Motors\u2019 Flint Assembly plant is running full-on as its 5,000 hourly workers push to meet pent-up demand for the heavy-duty Silverado and Sierra pickups GM builds there. The plant, along with all of the Detroit Three’s U.S. factories, sat idle for about eight weeks this spring as the coronavirus pandemic surged, putting production behind. <\/b><\/p>\n

So Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s warning this week that she could shut down auto factories in Michigan once again if residents don\u2019t obey her order to wear masks to slow the spread of COVID-19 has sent the auto industry into a tailspin.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a future at risk. This is <\/b>our<\/b><\/em> future,” said Eric Welter, UAW Local 598 shop chairman who represents the workers at Flint Assembly. “There is market demand right now. People want our product and if we don\u2019t deliver that product, that\u2019s our job security. So we have to push on, do it safely, but product demand is job security.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

I can\u2019t say for certain, since I\u2019m to lazy to look it up, but I would wager that the UAW backed the election of Wretched Gretchen’s run for the governors office. I also have a sneaking suspicion that they won\u2019t make that mistake again.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, the group representing Michigan’s auto industry sent a pleading letter to Whitmer noting that “no major COVID cases are tied to any Michigan auto facility,” crediting that to safety protocols in the plants.<\/b><\/p>\n

Forget pleading, the only thing that tyrannical bimbo understands are flat out threats. I don\u2019t mean to her life, that is illegal. No I mean to her continuation in office and to her freedom. She\u2019s already lost several lawsuits, and police are refusing to enforce her decrees. No, forget talking to her, she doesn\u2019t care. Instead, start talking with President Trump. He DOES care, and with the threat to interstate commerce, he may have the legal and constitutional grounds to do something about it if she carries out her threats.<\/p>\n

“On behalf of Michigan\u2019s automotive leaders, I urge you to resist the closure of our manufacturing facilities and allow these demonstrated safety protocols to continue working to keep our businesses open,” wrote Glenn Stevens, executive director, MICHauto, an economic development initiative of the Detroit Regional Chamber, dedicated to the Michigan automotive industry. <\/b><\/p>\n

Wretched Gretchen is using the Wuhan Flu for political reasons, and if she thinks that closing down the auto factories will benefit her, she won\u2019t hesitate to do it. The fact that the manufacturers have set up systems to keep their work force from getting sick will not matter to this bitch. She is using the threat to punish her political enemies and keep her knee, so to speak, on the necks of the citizens of Michigan.<\/p>\n

If the governor closes auto plants in Michigan, the ripple effect on the tens of thousands of jobs connected to those plants, such as at auto parts suppliers and car dealerships \u2014 even in other states \u2014 could be economically devastating. <\/b><\/p>\n

And this is where I think President Trump will have the legal tools to step in and shut Wretched Gretchen down. Her actions will have a major effect on the United States economy as well as the economies of other states. I suspect that President Trump could use that emergency power he\u2019s been using to get protective gear manufactured to reopen the car companies if Wretched Gretchen orders them closed.<\/p>\n

Still, the governor did not mince words during a news conference in Lansing Wednesday, saying: \u201cIf Michiganders don\u2019t mask up when we go out in public, cases could rise and we could be forced to close down more of our businesses, including auto manufacturing plants that employ thousands. A second wave of this virus could be absolutely devastating.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

No, what will be economically devastating is this tyrannical cow ordering the manufacturing lines shut down.<\/p>\n

U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Dearborn, said Whitmer\u2019s comment was likely motivated by a desire to get people to wear face masks. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThe reaction she\u2019s looking for is wear your mask and the reaction people are having is probably why she said it,\u201d Dingell told the Free Press. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cFrom the very beginning the governor has been in close contact with the UAW and the three companies. They have all set up COVID task forces and they want to make sure everyone is safe,\u201d Dingell said. \u201cThe best thing everyone can do is wear masks and don\u2019t drive data, to make sure this decision doesn\u2019t have to be made again.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

Once a Dingell, always a Dingell, wrong and corrupt. Wretched Gretchen\u2019s sole desire is to become the first Queen of Michigan and rule with absolute power. Her actions, which are nothing less then punishment for not following her orders demonstrate she is not fit to hold any office or position of trust. Of course, that describes about 99.99% of Progressive Liberal Democratic CommuNazis.<\/p>\n

The idea of idling Michigan’s assemby lines again isn’t a go-to solution for the UAW either, where a task force regularly discusses plant safety with the automakers.<\/b><\/p>\n

That’s all the UAW can do because the pandemic happened after the union negotiated its current contract, so there is no provision in the contract for handling this situation. <\/b><\/p>\n

I expect that both the Union and management are talking and working together on this for a couple of reasons. First, sick workers are an expense to the car companies, so the two sides are probably looking at the best way to keep them healthy. Second, if Wretched Gretchen carries out her threats, there is a good chance those plants will never reopen, and the assembly lines will be shipped out of state or out of the country. Unemployed union members with no hope of getting a job aren\u2019t going to be staying with the union and paying dues.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no doubt that the shutdown, social distancing and following safety protocols saves lives,” UAW President Rory Gamble told the Free Press. <\/b><\/p>\n

Actually, no it doesn\u2019t. That\u2019s all just propaganda. The masks will stop droplets if someone coughs or sneezes and is already sick. (They should be home resting and recovering in that case) Masks do nothing to protect the wearer and in some cases can cause major harm to the wearer. Socialist distancing is another load of manure and is nothing more then a \u201cFeel Good\u201d answer to make it look like the \u201cExperts\u201d actually know what they are doing.<\/p>\n

While second-quarter auto sales saw an overall decline, there is still strong demand for pickups and SUVs and Michigan factories are critical for all three automakers. GM makes the big-selling Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra heavy-duty pickups in Flint. Ford assembles its redesigned top-selling F-150 pickup at its Dearborn Truck facility and the revived Bronco SUV at Michigan Assembly in Wayne.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As an aside, when I read about the Ford Bronco making a comeback I started looking into it. The current Anger Central Transportation System is over 10 years old and the Webmaster is looking to replace it. (Toyota Tacoma) He was looking at a Toyota 4Runner, but the specs on the new Bronco, along with the price point are more attractive to the Anger Central Transportation manager. Even the Angry Girlfriend is interested in the sport version.<\/p>\n

If Wretched Gretchen orders the lines shut down because she is being ignored, it will probably kill the sales of the Bronco for the year and probably kill Ford. If she thinks that Ford management is going to allow that, she had better think again. On this, I think the Unions are in agreement with management. Wretched Gretchen needs to go.<\/p>\n

One thing no one wants is a repeat of what happened early on in the pandemic before the governor allowed the Detroit Three to shut down in March. During that time, 25 workers lost their lives to the virus.<\/b><\/p>\n

I would like more information on the tragic loss of these people. Did they have any other health issues? Were they smokers? One of the things we have since learned, (and the MSM is covering up), is that most people who catch the virus and actually become ill do recover. Those who sadly pass away are generally elderly or have some underlying health issues.<\/p>\n

There is also the matter of Wretched Gretchen’s orders regarding the use of hydroxychloroquine, which appears to knock down the virus to the point that the body’s own defenses can destroy it. Wretched Gretchen was one of the Democratic CommuNazi governess who threatened to jail doctors who prescribed it. (This order almost killed a state legislator)<\/p>\n

The problem is not the car makers, it\u2019s everyone else who is ignoring Wretched Gretchen\u2019s tyrannical decrees. Since most people are ignoring her, she sees the best way to punish them is to kill the state\u2019s economy. Ordering the plants offline will wreck the Michigan economy and ripple out to other states. Wretched Gretchen doesn\u2019t care. As far as she\u2019s concerned. she will be obeyed or else.<\/p>\n
