Good day all. Once again, we have a Democrat who has been caught stealing. This one is in Tennessee and is, or was, a state senator. It is also alleged that she is a thief who was embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from the place she work at.<\/p>\n

The individual criminally charged is Katrina Robinson and the Department of Justice has lowered the boom on her after catching her with her hand deeply into the cookie jar. Here are the details from Breaking 911<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Tennessee State Senator Katrina Robinson (D), 39, has now been indicted for theft and embezzlement involving government programs and wire fraud. Robinson was previously charged in this matter by a federal criminal complaint that was unsealed on Wednesday, July 29, 2020. On Thursday, July 30, 2020, a federal grand jury in Memphis returned a 48-count indictment against Robinson, charging her with 24 counts of theft and embezzlement involving government programs, and 24 counts of wire fraud. D. Michael Dunavant, U.S. Attorney announced the indictment today. According to the indictment, Katrina Robinson is the Director of The Healthcare Institute (THI), a provider of educational and training programs for jobs in the healthcare field. She is also a Tennessee State Senator, having been elected to represent the 33rd District in Shelby County in 2018.<\/b><\/p>\n

Well, now, I suspect that the 33rd<\/sup> District will be looking for a new State Senator this November, hopefully one who doesn\u2019t have sticky fingers., So just what did this alleged felon do?<\/p>\n

Between 2015 and 2019, The Healthcare Institute received over $2.2 million in federal grants from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. During that same time period, Robinson stole in excess of $600,000 from THI by compensating herself in excess of what was allowed under the terms of the HRSA grant and by using Institute funds for payments and purchases for her own personal benefit and that of her immediate family. <\/b><\/p>\n

I wonder what this alleged criminal mastermind, who obviously thought that this was the Obama Department of InJustice, Eric Holder as Obama\u2019s chief consigliere, thought she was going to get away with it? Silly question. Of course she did. After all, she is one of the \u201cSpecial People\u201d and the laws for everyone else do not apply to her.<\/p>\n

Payments and purchases included a vehicle for her daughter; clothing, accessories, and hair and beauty products; expenses related to her wedding and honeymoon, and later, legal fees for her divorce; payments on her personal debts, including credit cards, store charge cards, student loans, and other personal loans; travel and entertainment for herself and her family; improvements to her personal residence; expenses related to a body aesthetics business she owned and a snow cone business operated by her children; and an event for her State Senate campaign.<\/b><\/p>\n

I hope they throw the book at her. Since these are federal charges, I think that parole is not an option, so she will serve every day of her sentence. (I may be mistaken of course)<\/p>\n

If convicted, Robinson faces a possible sentence of up to 20 years in federal prison, 3 years supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. There is no parole in the federal system. <\/b><\/p>\n

Nope, not mistaken at all. She will be eligible for retirement once she\u2019s completed her sentence, provided she is convicted of course. From what I\u2019ve been seeing, there have been a lot of indictments against crooked politicians, almost all of them, not surprisingly, Democrats. It isn\u2019t that the Republicans are so pure, it\u2019s that they understand that they will be caught and the Deep State will hammer them. Now the shoe is on the other foot and it\u2019s the Democrats discovering the joys of making little rocks out of big ones.<\/p>\n
