Good day all. You may recall the story about a Massachusetts judge who aided in the escape from Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents who came in to arrest and deport him. ICE eventually caught the criminal. As for the judge, Shelley M. Richmond Joseph, she was arrested.<\/p>\n

The judge has been trying to weasel her way out of a trial, and recently tried claiming that since she was a judge, she was immune from being arrested. Well, a Federal Judge ruled, basically saying \u201cNice try, see you in court.\u201d Here are the details from <\/b>Mass Live<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

The case against a Massachusetts state court judge accused of helping a man who was living in the U.S. illegally sneak out of the courthouse to evade an immigration enforcement agent can move toward trial, a federal judge ruled Monday. <\/b><\/p>\n

U.S. District Judge Leo Sorokin rejected Newton District Court Judge Shelley Joseph’s bid to dismiss the obstruction of justice and conspiracy charges against her. No trial date has been set. <\/b><\/p>\n

I did a quick check on Judge Sorokin, and I was actually shocked that he upheld the Rule of Law and the Constitution. He\u2019s an Obama Judge. Considering how most Obama judges act, I would have expected him saying \u201cShe is one of the Special People, release her and arrest Trump!\u201d It\u2019s nice to be wrong.<\/p>\n

Joseph and former court officer Wesley MacGregor were charged last year <\/a>on accusations that they schemed to let the man escape after a hearing on charges that included drug possession. Sorokin also denied MacGregor’s motion to dismiss on Monday. <\/b><\/p>\n

Good. He should have refused Joseph\u2019s orders and would have been within his rights to do so. However, he probably votes CommuNazi and figured he would be protected by the Deep State. As to how this all unfolded\u2026<\/p>\n

Authorities say an immigration agent was in the courtroom to detain the man when he appeared in the Newton courthouse in April 2018. The Dominican man had twice been deported and had been barred from entering the U.S. until 2027, prosecutors said. <\/b><\/p>\n

Just another poor immigrant who is willing to commit the crimes Americans won\u2019t do.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors say Joseph\u2019s clerk asked the agent to leave the courtroom and told him that the suspect would be released into the courthouse lobby. Instead, after the hearing, MacGregor led the defendant downstairs to the lockup and let him out a rear door, prosecutors say. <\/b><\/p>\n

ICE caught this clown a month later and booted his criminal butt out of the country. Personally, I think they should have dropped him into the ocean after the boat left American waters and told him to swim, but that\u2019s just me.<\/p>\n

Joseph\u2019s lawyers have blasted prosecutors for what the defense has called an \u201cextraordinary sweetheart deal granting complete immunity\u201d to the immigrant\u2019s defense attorney, who they say was the \u201carchitect and ringleader\u201d of the man\u2019s escape plan. <\/b><\/p>\n

That won\u2019t wash. As officers of the court, that moonbat judge knew damn well that helping the criminal escape deportation was against the law. If the defense attorney cooked this up, she had a duty to report him and see to it he was arrested and charged.<\/p>\n

Her lawyers say Joseph had no idea about the plan, but they argue that even if the allegations were true, judicial immunity shields judges from liability for acts acts \u201ctaken in their judicial role.\u201d The defense has also slammed her prosecution as politically motivated and have accused federal authorities of trying to intimidate others into enforcing their immigration policies. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThe alleged actions of one state district court judge, in an unexceptional case in an ordinary courtroom, have become the vehicle through which the federal government seeks to threaten those in state government whom they view as insufficiently supportive of its immigration policies,\u201d her attorneys said in a court filing this spring. <\/b><\/p>\n

Nice try, and I\u2019ll give you an \u201cA\u201d for effort and a nice participation trophy, however, the judge is beholding to the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, The United States of America and the constitutions of both Massachusetts and the United States. She knew damn well what she was doing was illegal and the arrogant cow did it anyway. Now she is going to face the music and a jury. I hope they convict her and the presiding judge throws the book at her.<\/p>\n
