Good day all. Parler is still offline and may still be looking for a new home. (Epik is stating they have not talked with Parler<\/a>) In the mean time, Parler has found new lawyers and have filed an antitrust and breech of contract suit against Amazon.<\/p>\n

Now the case is very complicated, and I will not make any claims about understanding the nuances involved. There are others better suited to do that. However, the speed with which Parler was killed by Apple, Goolag and Amazon is probably going to make their defense much harder. As I understand it, Amazon was contractually required to give Parler 30 days notice, not the 30 hours they were given.<\/p>\n

It also appears that the excuse used by Amazon, that Parler wasn\u2019t removing obviously illegal content, was untrue. Then there is the issue of Twitter, or Twitler as it\u2019s starting to be called now. They recently signed a multi-year contract with Amazon Web Services, (AWS) and Parler was a direct competitor, if very small.<\/p>\n

Then, a few days before the murder of Parler, President Trump was banned from Twitler, ostensibly at the direction of Vijaya Gadde, Twitler\u2019s PR Executive. When that happened, the Trump family started moving to Parler. President Trump had millions of people following him in Twitter, and they, along with many others fed up with Twitler\u2019s censorship, jumped to Parler. With this, Parler\u2019s app on the Apple and Goolag app stores suddenly jumped to the number one downloaded app.<\/p>\n

At this point, Goolag killed the app in their store, preventing anyone from downloading it. The first Parler\u2019s management heard about it was when they read about it in a news story. Goolag had leaked the story before they had notified Parler. Next Apple gave Parler 24 hours to start censoring their platform. Since this wasn\u2019t going to happen, boom, the app was removed. Then AWS shut down the site.<\/p>\n

Monday, January 11th<\/sup>, 2021, Parler filed suit against AWS in Washington State. They listed a bunch of charges, and as I mentioned, I am in no way qualified to speak to them. However, I have someone who is.<\/p>\n
