While at New York University\u2019s Center<\/a> on International Cooperation, Zimmerman also served as a fellow<\/a> at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, flagged<\/a> by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for its close ties to the Chinese Communist Party\u2019s top spy agency, the Ministry of State Security.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS), which the FBI views<\/a> as a \u201cfront group for Chinese intelligence collection and overseas spy recruitment,\u201d was involved in a 2019 criminal case involving a retired Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operative selling classified U.S. defense documents to China. <\/b>The operative, Kevin Mallory, was contacted by a SASS official via LinkedIn to begin the relationship that culminated in a 20-year prison sentence for Mallory. <\/b><\/p>\n

This person is obviously very compromised and should not be allowed anywhere near the White House. The FBI, if they actually were a true investigative service, would inform the President that there was no way in Hell they would vet this clown. Instead, he will be walked right through the door by the Fake President. What he should be doing is sitting in an interrogation room, with his lawyer, taking the 5th<\/sup> as they ask him some very pointed questions.<\/p>\n

Sadly, those questions will never be asked, and as I understand it, his position does not require confirmation by the Senate.
