The title of the bill is misleading, which should come as no surprise of course.. There is nothing in this bill that is \u201cFor the people. This bill is designed to basically end the Republic and provide the Democratic CommuNazis the means to institute their goal of a single party state with no opposition permitted. Basically, it takes all control of how elections are managed from the states and centralizes it in the hands of bureaucrats in Washington. It also basically ends the 1st<\/sup> Amendment\u2019s free speech clause. Here is what the Heritage Foundation has to say<\/b><\/a> about this disaster in the making:<\/p>\n Democrats in Congress, under the Biden administration, have renewed their efforts to make sweeping changes to America\u2019s electoral laws. H.R. 1 federalizes and micromanages the election process administered by the states, imposing unnecessary, unwise, and unconstitutional mandates on the states and reversing the decentralization of the American election process\u2014which is necessary for protecting our liberty and freedom. The bill interferes with the ability of states and their citizens to determine qualifications for voters, to ensure the accuracy of voter registration rolls, to secure the integrity of elections, to participate in the political process, and to determine the district boundary lines for electing their representatives. <\/b><\/p>\n Among the things this bill would do is end any requirements for identification, and mandate mail in voting. These were two of the big issues in the last election leading to the massive fraud that has been covered up by the Deep State, Uniparty, the MSM and the Maladministration of the Fake President. Here are some of the things they intend to shove down people\u2019s throats.<\/p>\n Seize the authority of states to regulate voter registration and the voting process by forcing states to implement early voting, automatic voter registration, same-day registration, online voter registration, and no-fault absentee balloting. <\/b><\/p>\n So much for the integrity of the ballot and the voter rolls. Of course, this section runs smack into the Constitution of the United States, specifically Article 1, Section 4, which reads:<\/p>\n <\/a> The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.<\/b><\/p>\n Funny, I don\u2019t see anything there about the Federal Government running the elections. Has anyone told this to San Fran Nan and UpChuck Schumer?<\/p>\n Among other things this load of crap would do is trash the accuracy of the voter rolls by automatically enrolling everyone when they get a license. Now there are a lot of lawful resident aliens who have drivers licenses, but they have no right to vote since they aren\u2019t citizens. Most will know they can\u2019t. However, the states that reward criminal behavior by giving licenses to illegal aliens will also automatically put them on the voter rolls. These people would get and return mail in ballots.<\/p>\n Another thing this disaster would do is trash the 1st<\/sup> Amendment. Of course, the CommuNazis are working to do that anyway, so this doesn\u2019t bother them one whit.<\/p>\n Violate the First Amendment and could cover a vast range of legal activity. Voter intimidation or coercion that prevents someone from registering or voting is already a federal crime under the Voting Rights Act and the National Voter Registration Act. But H.R. 1 adds an additional provision to prevent interference with registering or voting that is so vague that it could easily interfere with free speech and other lawful activity. <\/b><\/p>\n Expand regulation and government censorship of campaigns and political activity and speech, including online and policy-related speech. H.R. 1 imposes onerous legal and administrative compliance burdens and costs on candidates, citizens, civic groups, unions, corporations, and nonprofit organizations. Many of these provisions violate the First Amendment, protect incumbents, and reduce the accountability of politicians to the public. <\/b><\/p>\n Another thing this bill does is require states to let criminals vote. Again, a small issue with the constitution.<\/p>\n Require states to restore the ability of felons to vote the moment they are out of prison. Section 2 of the 14th Amendment gives states the constitutional authority to decide when felons who committed crimes against their fellow citizens may vote again. Congress cannot override a constitutional amendment with a statute. <\/b><\/p>\n That hasn\u2019t stopped them in the past. Now I don\u2019t have a problem restoring a criminal\u2019s right to vote after they have completed their sentence and made any restitution and paid any fines. I also don\u2019t have a problem, under similar circumstances, of criminals regaining their 2nd<\/sup> Amendment rights under similar circumstances, and provided they weren\u2019t guilty of crimes of violence, especially with a weapon of any sort. (This is something that should be looked into eventually)<\/p>\n Another thing this garbage bill would do is strip redistricting from the state legislatures.<\/p>\n Transfer the right to draw congressional districts from state legislatures to \u201cindependent\u201d commissions whose members are unaccountable to voters. H.R. 1 makes it a violation of federal law to engage in \u201cpartisan\u201d redistricting and mandates inclusion of alien population, both legal and illegal, in all redistricting. This is an anti-democratic, unconstitutional measure that takes away the ability of the citizens of a state to make their own decision about redistricting. <\/b><\/p>\n Since when have the Progressive liberal Totalitarian Elites of the Democratic CommuNazi Party ever cared about the citizens of the United States? Yes, that is a trick question. They never have given a tinkers damn about the people they claim to represent. Another section of questionable constitutionality is blocking the Attorney General from doing his or hers duty.<\/p>\n Violate separation of powers and directly interfere with the President\u2019s constitutional duties. H.R. 1 bans his political appointees, such as the Attorney General, from participating in, directing the defense of, or assisting in any matter (including lawsuits against a President\u2019s policies, programs, executive orders, or his enforcement of the law) in which the President is named as a party. <\/b><\/p>\n This load of horse manure is San Fran Nan Pelosi and UpChuck Schumer\u2019s wish list of basically taking power away from the states, and making sure that no Republican will ever be elected to office again. The bad news is that the Fake President has been instructed to say that he will sign this as soon as it arrives on his desk. (Gee, why not just do another Executive Order and skip the whole legislative process?
