This is long overdue in my opinion, but the reasons to remove the Flaming idiot being stated aren\u2019t the reasons that should be used. They are going after that walking diaper stain over his harassment of a number of young women in his office, not for the mass murder of thousands of elderly patients in nursing homes. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n Republicans in the New York State Assembly on Monday announced an impeachment resolution against Gov. Andrew Cuomo, saying they believe the Democratic governor has lost “credibility and trust” and has an “inability to lead” the state of New York amid sexual harassment allegations leveled against him and investigations into his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. <\/b><\/p>\n New York State Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay, alongside other\u00a0Republicans, laid out the plan\u00a0to introduce an impeachment resolution on Monday. <\/b><\/p>\n “We\u2019re going to introduce this resolution because we believe the time has come,” Barclay said. “In order to lead this great state as governor, you need to have credibility and trust \u2026 and unfortunately, we feel the governor has lost that and now has an inability to lead.<\/b><\/p>\n “I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve used the term \u2018bombshell\u2019 especially this week, any time more in my life, it has been one bombshell after another,” Barclay added, laying out the issues plaguing the Cuomo administration. <\/b><\/p>\n While there are real grounds to remove Cuomo, it takes a large majority on both houses of the State Legislature to boot his corrupt ass out the door. This means Democrats and we all know that they instinctively \u201cCircle the wagons\u201d to protect one of their own. However, Flaming Cuomo is not well liked, or respected in Democrat circles.<\/p>\n Barclay acknowledged that Republicans “won\u2019t be able to force a vote,” but said they would “keep pounding on this issue.” <\/b><\/p>\n “We hope that the political pressure keeps getting greater and greater,” Barclay said. “We\u2019re hoping by doing this, we\u2019re going to keep reminding the majorities that it\u2019s time for them to act.” <\/b><\/p>\n He added: “If they really believe in resignation, why not start the impeachment process?” <\/b><\/p>\n Why not indeed? The simple answer is, they\u2019re cowards. They don\u2019t want to do what has to be done, not because they like Cuomo, but because they\u2019re worried about waking up with concrete overshoes at the bottom of the Hudson river, politically speaking.<\/p>\n Cuomo is also facing calls to step down from Democrats. State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, a Democrat from Yonkers, said in a statement that the allegations are “drawing away from the business of government.” <\/b><\/p>\n “New York is still in the midst of the pandemic and is still facing the societal, health and economic impacts of it [the virus],” she said. “We need to govern without daily distraction. For the good of the state Governor Cuomo must resign.”<\/b><\/p>\n Since the statement from Stewart-Cousins, more lawmakers from the state have stepped forward and are calling for his resignation. According to a tally from Fox News, a total of 37 lawmakers from either the Assembly or state Senate want him to resign, and 10 have called for impeachment. <\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
