Recently, the Cuban people decided that enough is enough and have started to rebel. They have been protesting, waving banners and flags and demanding Freedom. The reliably corrupt and pro-communist New York Slimes has decried this slogan, calling the word \u201cFreedom\u201d an anti-government slogan. Here are the details from Breitbart<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n The <\/b>New York Times<\/b><\/em>\u00a0described chants of \u201cfreedom!\u201d at thousands-strong peaceful protests in Cuba on Sunday as one of several \u201canti-government slogans\u201d popular among the congregated. The\u00a0<\/b>Times<\/b><\/em> also erroneously reported the protests were about \u201cfood and medicine shortages.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cShouting \u2018Freedom\u2019 and other anti-government slogans, hundreds of Cubans took to the streets in cities around the country on Sunday to protest food and medicine shortages, in a remarkable eruption of discontent not seen in nearly 30 years,\u201d the<\/b>\u00a0Times<\/b><\/em> wrote<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n The Slimes has been pro-communist almost since the 1917 revolution in Russia. They have also been reliably pro-Castro since he took over Cuba 60 years ago. Of course, the reality of what\u2019s happening in Cuba doesn\u2019t fit the worldview of the ivory tower lickspittles on the Slimes editorial board, so they have no choice but to lie about it.<\/p>\n In reality, the thousands of protesters used slogans<\/a> against socialism and communism to made clear the political nature of their demand: the end of communism on the island. <\/b><\/p>\n Not just slogans, they\u2019ve also bee waving American Flags, something else the Slimes staff hates.<\/p>\n The Times<\/em> coverage\u00a0also included weaponizing Cuban disinformation by suggesting communist Cuba\u2019s \u201clongstanding economic problems\u201d stem from\u00a0\u201cthe American trade embargo, which cuts off its access to financing and imports.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIn televised remark,\u201d the <\/b>Times<\/b><\/em> persisted, \u201cD\u00edaz-Canel said \u2026\u00a0the protests were a form of \u2018systemic provocation\u2019 by dissidents doing the bidding of the United States.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cWithin hours of the extraordinary events, the president broke into national television programming to urge government supporters to hit the streets and confront the protesters,\u201d the\u00a0Times<\/em> reported<\/a>, tempering in its translation that D\u00edaz-Canel issued an \u201corder of combat\u201d encouraging civilians to violently assault protesters on the streets.<\/p>\n The Times\u2019<\/em> narrow coverage contradicts videos from throughout the island that show<\/a> both plain-clothed and uniformed state security officers attacking peaceful protesters. Breitbart News reported<\/a>\u00a0bystanders in Havana heard sounds of heavy gunfire and beatings of dissidents, while\u00a0D\u00edaz-Canel\u00a0called for street \u201ccombat\u201d against anyone demanding an end to the regime.<\/p>\n Gee, why am I not surprised that the New York Slimes would be inaccurate<\/i><\/span> flat out lie regarding what was happening in Cuba? It\u2019s not like they actually supported the Castro regime.<\/p>\n The<\/b> Times<\/b><\/em>\u00a0has been historically sympathetic to the Castro regime. In the 1950s, while most Cubans supported efforts against then-President Fulgencio Batista organized by more popular leaders,\u00a0<\/b>New York Times<\/b><\/em> reporter Herbert Matthews published flattering, and false, reports praising Fidel Castro and his band of Marxists. Matthews\u2019 reports<\/a>, beginning in 1957, portrayed<\/a>\u00a0Castro as a\u00a0freedom fighter<\/a>\u00a0seeking to restore democracy to the island nation and made him appear far more popular than he was on the island. <\/b><\/p>\n Matthews was just another communist fellow traveler if not an actual communist agent, just like Walter Duranty<\/a>.<\/p>\n Upon Castro\u2019s success of establishing a revolutionary socialist state in 1959,\u00a0Castro\u00a0claimed<\/a>\u00a0in New York City his \u201cgreatest ploy\u201d was fooling Matthews. <\/b>Castro admitted he only had 20 men left at the time of Matthews\u2019 publications but convinced Matthews he had control of a huge army. Matthews\u2019 observations backed this as he wrote, \u201cfrom the look of things, General Batista cannot possibly hope to suppress the Castro revolt.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n So once again the New York Slimes helped Communists gain power, and as usual, they are working to help them maintain power over the dead bodies of the people.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
