An electric car was tooling around West Virginia and the battery went flat with nary a charging station to be seen. Who came to the rescue? Those who provide the actual fuel used to power electric cars, coal miners. Here are the details from Breitbart<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n The electric vehicle of an unfortunate Washington, DC, tourist ran out of battery in the middle of a remote West Virginia road on Friday. Thankfully, a few unlikely good Samaritans were nearby to rescue the stranded traveler.<\/b><\/p>\n The wild sequence of events was recounted by Tucker County State Sen. Randy Smith (R) on Facebook, which occurred\u00a0near a coal mine on Mettiki Coal access road U.S. 48, a few miles outside of Davis, West Virginia, according to WTRF. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cToday at our mine off Corridor H an electric car from DC ran out of battery at the road entrance to the mine,\u201d Smith wrote. <\/b><\/p>\n The nitwit who owns the car apparently wasn\u2019t paying any attention to the charge levels and the car conked out in the middle of a haul road. I\u2019m assuming that the dimbulb was so thick headed that he, or she, didn\u2019t have the sense to move to the side of the road when things started failing. Fortunately, there were some people with common sense on hand to help.<\/p>\n As a few coal miners came to assist, it was soon realized that the vehicle could not be moved by a tow truck since the bottom of the car was all plastic with nothing to hook onto.<\/b><\/p>\n I can\u2019t say this with any certainty of course, however I suspect that solid bottom is designed to protect the battery and other systems under the car. If it needs to be towed, then it requires a flatbed truck, utilizing a proven energy technology called \u201cGasoline\u201d to haul it away. It appears that there wasn\u2019t one present.<\/p>\n With few options left, the coal miners worked with the driver to push the vehicle up the road to the mine where the traveler could recharge his car.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIf you look closely you can see our coal stockpile and load out in the background,\u201d Smith noted as the five coal miners and driver are seen pushing the vehicle in a photo. <\/b><\/p>\n I\u2019m guessing the driver is the guy in shorts and tennis shoes.<\/p>\n While electric vehicles have recently symbolized an elitist shift away from natural energy resources such as coal, natural gas, and oil to renewable energy sources, that narrative was set aside on Friday as the coal miners were more than willing to help the unfortunate traveler. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThis just shows you coal miners are good people and will go out of their way to help anyone friend or foe,\u201d said Smith.\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m honestly glad they ended up where they could get some help because they couldn\u2019t get a tow truck to come and this is out in the middle of nowhere.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n That\u2019s the problem with the Washington Elites. They think that all the energy they need to power their electric toys comes from wind power, solar power and unicorn farts. In reality, it\u2019s nuclear, natural gas and coal, and will be for a very long time. (Like forever)<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
