One of the major things pushed by the Progressives is that the Earth is doomed, that we\u2019re all going to die in hell fire brought on by man made climate change. Now universities are starting to offer counseling to the precious snowflakes who are stressed when the temperature shifts a few degrees. (They are actually called Climate Deniers) Most of these kids don\u2019t know how to deal with this since their parents did nothing to toughen them up.<\/p>\n In an attempt to address the mental health consequences of being constantly warned that the planet is on its last leg, there has been a push from within colleges and universities to provide climate change<\/a> counseling services to students. <\/b><\/p>\n In 2020, members of the University of British Columbia<\/a>\u2019s Sustainability Initiative released a report detailing the relationship between climate change and mental health, offering a “systemic approach to action in post-secondary education. <\/b><\/p>\n “Direct and indirect stressors from climate change,” they wrote, “as well as the overarching psychological and psychosocial challenges associated with acknowledging the magnitude of the crisis, lead to mental distress and disrupt mental health and wellbeing. Addressing the challenges that the climate crisis poses to mental health, and finding ways to live with and adapt to the overarching psychological and psychosocial weight of the crisis is needed to build healthy and resilient individuals and communities.” <\/b><\/p>\n This sounds like a very costly solution looking for a problem. In other words, a bunch of quacks and frauds looking to protect their phony baloney jobs and get rich. As you might expect, this drivel is spreading from Britain to this side of the Atlantic.<\/p>\n At the University of Michigan, a pilot program has been set up creating a therapy group that will meet for one hour every week for just over three months to see how receiving emotional support can help students overcome their anxiety. <\/b><\/p>\n Assistant director of the University of Oregon\u2019s Office of Sustainability, Sarah Stoeckl, argued that without such services available to students, they will feel “paralyzed in \u2026 uncomfortable emotions.” <\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
