Good day all. Been Sasse is, at the moment, a Senator from the state of Nebraska, and a member of the GOP(e) wing of the Never Trump Uniparty. Basically he is another RINO swamp dweller. He has been opposed to the Greatest President of the 21st<\/sup> Century pretty much since Day One.<\/p>\n

Sasse has decided it\u2019s time to bolt while the bolting is good, and has announced his resignation from the United States Senate. He will be heading to Florida where he will be bowing to the Precious Snowflakes infesting<\/i><\/span> attending the University of Florida as it\u2019s next President. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Sen. Ben Sasse is expected to resign his Senate seat, Fox News has confirmed, and is likely to accept a new job as president of the University of Florida.\u00a0The University of Florida announced Thursday that Sasse, R-Neb., is the lone finalist being considered by its presidential search committee. <\/b><\/p>\n

“UF is the most important institution in the nation’s most economically dynamic state,” Sasse said in a tweeted statement. “Washington partisanship isn’t going to solve these workforce challenges \u2013 new institutions and entrepreneurial communities are going to have to spearhead this work. If UF want to go big, I’m excited about the wide range of opportunities.” <\/b><\/p>\n

Sasse would likely resign his post in December and start his new job at University of Florida in February.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

Sasse isn\u2019t up for reelection until 2026, which makes me wonder why he\u2019s leaving the Senate. I suspect he has seen the polls and knows that the midterms are going to bring in a number of new members who hate the Uniparty. There might be enough of them to throw out Cocaine Mitch and his band of merry surrender monkeys, which doesn\u2019t bode well for Sasse. Since his pension is vested, and he appears to have the standard Deep State Uniparty contempt for his constituents, he decided to get while the getting is good.<\/p>\n

The senator, who was one of the most vocal GOP critics of former President Donald Trump<\/a> and voted to convict him on his second impeachment, tweeted a Tampa Bay Times article about the University of Florida president search.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

I suspect that Sasse has been getting an earful from his constituents, if he\u2019s even taking their calls. President Trump carried Nebraska by a large margin. I doubt they are all that happy with Sasse these days.<\/p>\n

Sasse was first elected in 2014 and reelected in 2020. That means his current Senate term is not up until 2026. Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts, a Republican, will appoint Sasse’s replacement, who will serve until a 2024 special election is held for the seat.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Regarding Sasse’s replacement, Ricketts spokesperson Alex Reuss said that the governor’s office isn’t, “going to speculate at this point. Right now, Senator Sasse is a sitting U.S. Senator and there\u2019s no appointment to be made.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have little doubt they are looking at who will take Sasse\u2019s place. While I have no idea where things stand in Nebraska, I hope the Governor appoints someone who is the dead opposite of Sasse. Someone who is an Ultra MAGA Deplorable Trump supporting America First type, just to really stick it to Sasse for betraying the people who elected him. Good bye and good riddance to another RINO TransRepublican Deep State piece of trash.<\/p>\n
