After the election, there was a major fight between the state legislature and the Maricopa officials over doing a full audit of the county\u2019s election system. Instead of revisiting that, I\u2019ll just say that Maricopa county, along with a number of other states and locales have had plenty of time to correct the problems that we saw.<\/p>\n
Some of the states did just that. Georgia admitted that they had a problem and passed a law to help correct it. The Democrats promptly attacked them for it, lying about what it actually did. The new law turned out to be popular and it did fix some issues. However, they do still have some problems. Other states did nothing since they\u2019re Democrat controlled and the problems benefited them.<\/p>\n
The Arizona attorney general’s election integrity unit is investigating Maricopa County’s midterm elections, demanding a “full report and accounting of the myriad problems that occurred” and alleging potential “statutory violations.” <\/b><\/p>\n “These complaints go beyond pure speculation, but include first-hand witness accounts that raise concerns regarding Maricopa’s lawful compliance with Arizona election law,” Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Wright wrote in a letter<\/a> Saturday to Maricopa County chief civil division attorney Thomas Liddy.<\/a> <\/b><\/p>\n How hard can it be to hold an election? Apparently, for Maricopa County, it\u2019s all but impossible.<\/p>\n There are concerns Maricopa County broke the law, as former acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell claimed on Twitter. <\/b><\/p>\n “Democrats in Maricopa County are curing ballots after the deadline \u2014 and claiming they called the voter before the deadline and the voter just got back to them,” Grenell tweeted Saturday<\/a>. “This is illegal. We will file another suit to count only legal votes. We followed the rules, they didn’t.” <\/b><\/p>\n Democrats never follow the rules if it inconveniences them, and losing an election is something that they find very inconvenient.<\/p>\n Maricopa County has once again been under fire for its handling of elections in the key battleground states, including reports of failing voting machines that forced ballots to be put aside in what is called “Door 3” collections. <\/b><\/p>\n “Maricopa County appears to have failed to adhere to the statutory guidelines in segregating, counting, tabulating, tallying, and transporting the ‘Door 3’ ballots,” Wright’s letter to Liddy continued. “In fact, Maricopa County has admitted that in some voting locations, ‘Door 3’ non-tabulated ballots were commingled with tabulated ballots at the voting location. <\/b><\/p>\n “Further, we have received a sworn complaint from an election observer indicating that more than 1,700 ‘Door 3’ non-tabulated ballots from one voting location were placed in black duffle bags that were intended to be used for tabulated ballots.” <\/b><\/p>\n<\/a>Then we have Maricopa County. They managed to once again screw up badly on election day. Now the Attorney General is starting an investigation of Maricopa county botching yet another election.
