Good day all. One of the things the new CEO of CNN, Chris Licht, is trying to do is have CNN make a profit. One of the things he\u2019s been doing is cutting head count, especially the overpriced on air \u201cTalent.\u201d Already, people like Brian \u201cMr. Potatohead\u201d Stelter and Jeffrey \u201cChicken Choker\u201d Toobin along with others have been shown the door.<\/p>\n

Now it looks like another round of layoffs is coming up or is already underway. Here are the details from the Post Millennial<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

CNN CEO Chris Licht informed employees in a recent email that a new round of layoffs is underway.\u00a0CNN recently had a round of layoffs in September, which included Brian Stelter and the demotion of Don Lemon. <\/b><\/p>\n

The email begins, “Our people are the heart and soul of this organization. It is incredibly hard to say goodbye to any one member of the CNN team, much less many. I recently described this process as a gut punch, because I know that is how it feels for all of us. <\/b><\/p>\n

“Today we will notify a limited number of individuals, largely some of our paid contributors, as part of a recalibrated reporting strategy. <\/b><\/p>\n

That \u201cRecalibrated startagy\u201d is basically flushing all the liberal crap down the tubes and trying to restore CNN\u2019s credibility as an actual news source instead of a Progressive Propaganda organ. The email continues by telling people they will be called into HR, if they are in an office, or called on Zoom and told \u201cThank you for your contributions. We hope you will be successful in your future endeavors. Get out.\u201d<\/p>\n

CNN has attempted to embrace a “middle ground” vision of reporting since\u00a0Chris Licht took over as CNN president<\/a>\u00a0in February after disgraced former boss\u00a0Jeff Zucker<\/a>\u00a0was ousted due to a salacious affair scandal. Licht said in June that he wanted to\u00a0reduce the partisan nature<\/a>\u00a0of some of the network’s programming and on-air personalities.<\/b><\/p>\n

The best way to reduce the \u201cPartisan nature of the on air personalities is to fire the on air personalities. It looks like that is what Licht has in mind.<\/p>\n

Licht promised to\u00a0prune the network<\/a>\u00a0in order to reduce its partisanship.<\/b><\/p>\n

Prune? You don\u2019t need pruning shears, you need a chainsaw.<\/p>\n

CNN has been plagued with\u00a0consistent low viewership ratings<\/a>\u00a0in recent months. Earlier in August, reports emerged that the network was on the “hunt for new revenue<\/a>” as their ratings plummeted. Their profits have slumped steeply since 2016, reflecting the energy the channel poured into reporting on former President Donald Trump. <\/b><\/p>\n

Reporting on the Greatest President in the 21st<\/sup> Century? More like sliming and lying. The blind hatred of the media for President Trump is, in my admittedly limited view, unprecedented in the history of the United States. We\u2019ve always had newspapers backing one side or the other, and they\u2019ve been very partisan. However, you had multiple sources and people could read both sides and come to some sort of a conclusion.<\/p>\n

CNN was all Trump all the time and always looking for anything they could use to not just get President Trump out of office, but jailed. CNN helped cover up all the criminal activities of Hunter \u201cHoovernose\u201d Biden and \u201cThe Big Guy,\u201d all to Get Trump. The Results have led to CNN becoming a laughing stock and now people have left them.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

They used to have a monopoly on televisions in Airports, meaning a captive audience. When that deal concluded, airports all over the world switched off CNN and turned on anything else, much to the relief of people stuck in airports between flights. Licht has a long way to go before he restores both credibility and profitability to CNN. Getting rid of the current trash is a good start.<\/p>\n
