Good day all. Senator Mittens Romney, (TransRepublican-UT), has managed to piss off almost the entire Republican Party over the years. He is a die hard Never Trumper and despises the Greatest President of the 21st<\/sup> Century, Donald Trump, to the point that he voted to impeach him twice.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Mittens is a failed one term governor who\u2019s main claim to fame was creating \u201cRomneycare\u201d in the People\u2019s Democratic Republic of Taxachusetts. This was the model used to create Obamacare. He became so unpopular in Taxachusetts that, instead of going down to his well deserved crushing defeat, he chose not to run for reelection. (Look up \u201cGutless Political coward\u201d and you will see Mittens picture)<\/p>\n

Mittens also had a real shot at getting rid of the Second Worst president in American History, Barack Obama. He utterly crushed him in their first debate, causing many people, myself included, to wonder where this guy had come from and what had happened to the real Mittens Romney. We shouldn\u2019t have worried. The second debate showed Mittens true to form, and he was destroyed in the 2012 election.<\/p>\n

Rather then slink into his well deserved obscurity, Mittens ran for the United States Senate to replace noted RINO, Orrin Hatch when he announced his retirement. Mittens proceeded to lie through his teeth and managed to con the voters of Utah into supporting him. No sooner was his RINO ass firmly ensconced in the Senate then he turned on his constituents and showed the world that yes, he is a two timing lying weasel. Now his term is coming to an end and he is trying to decide if he should run for reelection. Here are the details from Townhall<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

The 2024 elections are not only newsworthy for a presidential election that may see former President Donald Trump take office again, but due to a Senate map<\/a> that is particularly tricky for Democrats. One vulnerable incumbent, Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT), isn’t sure<\/a> if he’ll run again. It’s not just Democrats, though, as it turns out. On Tuesday, POLITICO’s Burgess Everett highlighted how<\/a> Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) is weighing his options when it comes to running for a second Senate term. <\/b><\/p>\n

I looked at the Politico piece and it\u2019s basically a tongue bath of Romney\u2019s TransRepublican ass.<\/p>\n

As Everett mentions in his piece, Romney has had no problem feuding with Trump. He’s gone against his party, and Trump<\/a>, in another way, by refusing to endorse<\/a> Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) for reelection against Evan McMullin, who was running as an independent, claiming both candidates were his friends. Lee ultimately lately won last month<\/a> by a little more than 10 percentage points.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

This has not endeared Mittens to the Republican Party in Utah. Even though the Politico article claims that 50% of the voters in Utah support Romney, from people I\u2019ve talked to who actually live and vote in the state, Romney is not well liked or respected. Despised wouldn\u2019t be out of line as I understand it.<\/p>\n

Romney believes he could win, saying it’s “frankly, not a question in my mind.” <\/b><\/p>\n

I wonder if that backstabber understand that there are people who want to shoot him? It\u2019s not that they are active threats towards him, (They don\u2019t think it\u2019s reached that point yet), it\u2019s just that if things get a lot worse, and the 4th<\/sup> Box is opened, someone is going to go after him. (I prefer not to need to open the 4th<\/sup> Box of Liberty. That would be a “Bad Place” to need to go to)<\/p>\n

Still, whether he’ll run is not a foregone conclusion, even if he thinks winning would be. “So I\u2019m convinced that if I run, I win. But that\u2019s a decision I\u2019ll make,” Everett quotes him as saying, also noting that Romney is preparing to run again, and making the necessary steps such as “making sure I have the right people.” Romney did nevertheless say “but I haven\u2019t made a decision, finally. And probably won\u2019t do that anytime in the immediate future.” <\/b><\/p>\n

I suspect Mittens is trying to see what chance he actually has. Romney flat out betrayed his constituents, and lied to them to get elected. While Mittens might have had the support of the Mormon Church, so to speak, when he first ran, I\u2019m not so sure he will have it this time around. Granted, I am in no way knowledgeable with how things work in Utah, but I can\u2019t see them supporting someone who lies through his teeth. We shall see of course.<\/p>\n

While Romney may have a point about his ability to win, his seat may not be as safe as he thinks it is, given the results from a Deseret News\/Hinckley Institute of Politics poll that was conducted by Dan Jones & Associates. Slightly more approve of the senator than disapprove, 48.9 percent to 46.9 percent. Those numbers don’t extend to whether or not he should run again though, especially among fellow Republicans. <\/b><\/p>\n

There is a link to KSL<\/a> which is in Utah. It says about half the people out there like what Romney is doing, but his primary base of support is from Democrats, not Republicans. Considering that Romney generally votes Democrat, this isn\u2019t to surprising.<\/p>\n

The poll found 72.4% of Utahns who identified as Democrats want him to run again. More than 65% of voters who identified as “very liberal” or “somewhat liberal” say Romney should seek reelection as do more than 62% of “moderate” Utahns, according to the survey.<\/b><\/p>\n

Oh, I\u2019m sure that is going to help Mittens in the Primary, along with how he refused to back Mike Lee for reelection. (I have a few issues with Lee, but I gather most in Utah like him) While it\u2019s a bit early yet, I have little doubt that Romney will be facing a primary challenge. Of course, one person who will back Mittens is Cocaine Mitch McConnell. He wants Romney to run again.<\/p>\n

Backing from McConnell is a potentially cautious step for the Republican Party. He’s meddled in Republican primaries before, to support the candidate more so considered a RINO. McConnell has particularly come under fire<\/a> for making it such a priority, as he did in Alaska<\/a>, so as to reelect Sen. Lisa Murkowski there, especially when such resources and effort could have been spent in better ways.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

Cocaine Mitch\u2019s actions are now considered to be one of the main reasons the Republicans didn\u2019t regain control of the Senate. He was more concerned with protecting his sinecure then he was in winning control of the Senate. He pulled the rug out from under several Republicans who had a good chance of winning and sent resources to those who would support him as minority leader. (Romney is in this camp)<\/p>\n

Now, as to whether or not Mittens should \u201cretire,\u201d the answer I have for him is \u201cHell YES!\u201d Romney is one of the problems with the Republican Party. He is what used to be called the \u201cEstablishment Country Club Republicans.\u201d They have no interest in improving the nation or have any loyalty to anything but themselves.<\/p>\n

The Republican party is currently split between the GOP(e), with the likes of McConnell, Murkowski, Collins and Romney in it and the \u201cUltra MAGA Deplorables\u201d who support President Trump and his Make America Great Again platform. Romney doesn\u2019t want to make America a great nation. He\u2019s just fine with looting it and \u201cManaging the decline.\u201d As far as I\u2019m concerned, Mitten\u2019s Romney\u2019s political career should be taken out into the Utah wilderness and buried in a shallow, unmarked grave.<\/p>\n
