Even then, these people at least made noised about supporting the Constitution. Those days are now over it seems. Here are some details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n A new bill introduced in the House last week, <\/b>(January 17<\/b>th<\/b><\/sup>),<\/b> aims to curb White supremacy and hate crimes, but it has also sparked concern that it would blow a hole through the First Amendment.<\/a> <\/b><\/p>\n The Leading Against White Supremacy Act of 2023, sponsored by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, would make it a federal crime<\/a> not just to commit a crime that is inspired by White supremacy, but to post something on social media that promotes White supremacist views if someone else then sees it and commits a crime. <\/b><\/p>\n Yep, that is a flat out violation of the constitution of the United States, but I would expect no less from the likes of that moron and walking pile of manure, Sheila Jackson Lee.<\/p>\n “It is a criminal hate speech law that would violate core principles of the First Amendment,” George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley wrote in a Tuesday blog post. “It makes clear that the accused does not actually have to support or conspire in a crime.” <\/b><\/p>\n You don\u2019t really think that Jackson-Lee gives a damn about the constitutional rights of anyone but herself now, do you?<\/p>\n Much of the bill deals with making it a crime to commit “conspiracy to engage in white supremacy inspired hate crime,” outlining the elements of such an offense. Normally, criminal conspiracy statutes require two or more people working together toward the commission of a crime, but this bill only requires one person to actually be involved in the crime, if another person “published material advancing white supremacy, white supremacist ideology, antagonism based on “replacement theory”, or hate speech that vilifies or is otherwise directed against any non-White person or group[.]” <\/b><\/p>\n But wait! There\u2019s more!<\/p>\n The bill says that a published message would satisfy the bill if it is posted on social media<\/a> or in any other way that has a likelihood that it would be viewed by people who are “predisposed to engaging in any action in furtherance of a white supremacy inspired hate crime” or “susceptible to being encouraged to engage in actions in furtherance of a white supremacy inspired hate crime.”\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n The bill also says that the published message satisfies the elements of the statute if a reasonable person would find that it could motivate someone with such a predisposition or susceptibility to act. A reasonable person standard is common in the law, but Turley commented on how Jackson Lee\u2019s bill uses it to consider how a person with a predisposition to commit a hate crime might act. <\/b><\/p>\n “The bizarrely written reasonable person standard is so opaque and cryptic,” Turley said in an email to Fox News Digital, that it is “enthralling.” <\/b><\/p>\n “How would a reasonable person discern a predisposition to engage in White supremacy?” Turley asked, likening it to Supreme Court<\/a> Justice Potter Stewart\u2019s 1964 test for pornography, in which he said, “I know it when I see it,” rather than offer a clear definition. <\/b><\/p>\n The whole point appear to be silencing people from Northern European extraction, nothing more. I\u2019m not at all surprised, since Jackson-Lee, like pretty much all of the Progressive Liberal Democrats are, deep down, racists who can\u2019t get past someone\u2019s skin color and will always judge people by said skin color.<\/p>\n “This is so flagrantly unconstitutional on so many levels from free speech to vagueness that it is actually impressive,” Turley said in his blog post, warning that while the bill is highly unlikely to pass, it is reminiscent of laws like those in the United Kingdom under which someone was arrested for silently praying near an abortion clinic and another was convicted and sentenced to four years for “toxic ideology” when he had weapons as well as SS and KKK memorabilia in his bedroom. <\/b><\/p>\n The United Kingdom is no longer a free society and is completely under the thrall of the Progressive Elites. They also have no means of protecting themselves when their rights are violated by the government. The people<\/i><\/span> subjects can no longer rely on the courts to protect them.<\/p>\n There is no way this will pass, and if, by some miracle, it actually did and was signed into law, would be challenged in Court. Only the most radical anti-American judge, (An Obama judge for instance) would uphold the law, and enforcement would almost certainly lead to violence against federal agents by people defending themselves.<\/p>\n The very idea that a bill like this would be introduced in the first place, Turley stated, is evidence of an “erosion of free speech values” like what is happening in other parts of the world. <\/b><\/p>\n What Mr. Turley and many others forget is that the United States is unique with our Constitution and our Bill of Rights. Sadly, many Americans don\u2019t fully understand the Constitution, but most understand that the 1st<\/sup> Amendment protects speech and religion. This also includes at least one Biden judicial nominee<\/a>.<\/p>\n The progressive movement has mutated, as it inevitably had to, to a totalitarian view of the elites ruling the masses. While Sheila Jackson-Lee might think of her self as one of the \u201cElite,\u201d she is just a moron and unfit for any position of responsibility, much like the other corrupt racist Democrat, Mad Maxine Waters.<\/p>\n I expect this bill will be laughed out of committee, and I expect Jackson-Lee and a few other moonbats and morons to stand on the front steps of the Capitol and accuse the Republicans and anyone else who isn\u2019t black and a Democrat of being white Supremacists. It\u2019s what they do after all.
