We already know that the DoJ and FBI were actively censoring people who were pushing things that went against \u201cThe narrative.\u201d Now we have information that a United States Senator, (Allegedly an Independent, but really a Democrat), had Twitter 1.0 shut down accounts of people who were opposed to him. Here are the details from the Washington Examiner<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n Independent journalist Matt Taibbi released another batch of “Twitter Files<\/a>” Saturday night using a series of tweets to reveal the internal communications between Twitter executives and government officials looking to target<\/a> constituents and a political rival, as well as label various users’ accounts as “Russian-controlled<\/a>.” <\/b>In the latest Taibbi tweets, he reported on the two examples of what appears to be Sen. Angus King<\/a> (I-ME) and, separately, State Department <\/a>official Mark Lenzi, trying to influence Twitter in a series of emails. <\/b><\/p>\n For those who may not know, Angus King is one of the two senators from Maine. (The other is one of the RINO sisters, Susan Collins) He pretends to be an Independent, but votes with the Democrats. (Think Comrade Bernie Sanders with a lot less waving of a little red book<\/a>)<\/p>\n A 2018 email allegedly from Twitter Public Policy manager Kevin Kane revealed<\/a> that King’s “campaign director” requested Twitter to censor 354 “suspicious” Twitter accounts, including supporters of his campaign rival at the time, Republican Maine State Sen. Eric Brakey. <\/b><\/p>\n King’s campaign team allegedly identified several reasons that the accounts should be considered “suspicious,”<\/a> citing things such as \u201cRand Paul visit excitement,\u201d \u201cBot (averages 20 tweets a day),\u201d \u201cmentions immigration,\u201d or being followed by his campaign rival and U.S. Senate Republican nominee Eric Brakey. <\/b><\/p>\n It appears that King and his people considered anyone who supported his opponent to be \u201csuspicious,\u201d and told Twitter 1.0\u2019s management to shut them down. As to bots? Of course Twitter had and has a bunch of them. However, there are a lot of people who might send out a large number of tweets, or retweet other tweets they agree with. As for what Comrade King\u2019s people considered suspicious? Here is what Mike Taibbi posted in the Twitter Files:<\/p>\n Here\u2019s Maine Senator Angus King writing to Twitter to call a slew of accounts \u201csuspicious\u201d for reasons like: <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cRand Paul visit excitement\u201d Mr. Taibbi had an interesting closing comment.<\/p>\n \u201cIf Dick Nixon sniffed glue, this is what his enemies list would look like,\u201d Taibbi wrote of King\u2019s spreadsheet<\/a> of “suspicious” Twitter users. <\/b><\/p>\n It\u2019s pretty obvious that Angus King is holding both his constituents and the Constitution in utter contempt, but that is expected from one of the Progressive Elitist class of vermin in Washington. However, what King and his court of jesters appear to have forgotten is that yes, the Constitution and the rule of law still exists and what they\u2019ve done is actionable, civilly at a minimum and potentially criminally.<\/p>\n Former Capitol Hill Chief of Staff Jim Pfaff called the pressure by King on Twitter to target users and even his political rival a “clear ethics violation.” <\/b><\/p>\n “In the case of Angus King and others, this should be something going before Ethics Committees in the House or the Senate. They are literally using their power, influence and knowledge to shut down speech that they might find problematic,” said<\/a> Pfaff on a “Twitter Spaces” discussion on Saturday night. “No member of Congress – unless they got someone who does research on this \u2014 would know that something was a bot.” <\/b><\/p>\n Pfaff went on to discuss how concerning it was that King was sitting on the U.S. Select Committee on Intelligence in 2018 when he allegedly pressured Twitter. <\/b><\/p>\n Now it looks like King also abused his position on the committee for personal gain, in this case, keeping his imperious ass in his royal seat in the United States Senate. His opponent, Eric Brakey, tore into King and applauded the work by Matt Taibbi.<\/p>\n \u201cMatt Taibbi\u2019s report shows that Angus King\u2019s staffers tried to silence his political opponent and hundreds of constituents,\u201d Brakey said<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n Considering what Roth and the other Twitlers did in censoring people who didn\u2019t follow the narrative, I have little doubt that they shut down a few accounts of people who made their feeling known about King. However, Mr. Taibbi also compared this to the actions by Adam Schiffhead and said it was tame in comparison.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
