Good day all. The release of the January 6th<\/sup> 2020 videos showing what actually happened during the protests and the first report by Fox\u2019s Tucker Carlson has enraged people on both sides of the political aisle. For the Republicans, it shows what we all knew, that the J6 Committee was a fraud designed to go after anyone who supports President Trump.<\/p>\n

For the Democrats, they are panicking because the video footage is showing that their narrative, that the January 6th<\/sup> protest was an insurrection ordered by Donald Trump to overturn the election, was a complete fraud. When Kevin McCarthy ordered the release of the footage to Tucker Carlson, the Left went ballistic. Now one of the Democrats front groups is filing an ethics complaint against Kevin McCarthy for releasing the footage. Here are the details from the Washington Examiner<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is facing an ethics complaint filed by a nonprofit watchdog group that accuses the GOP leader of being politically motivated in his release of security camera footage<\/a> of the Jan. 6 riot to Fox News host Tucker Carlson. <\/b><\/p>\n

Members of Public Citizen filed a complaint against McCarthy on Tuesday, requesting that the Office of Congressional Ethics investigate the speaker over whether he violated House rules. The request comes one day after Carlson began releasing portions of the footage<\/a> on his prime-time show, prompting concerns among other news outlets he would \u201cadvocate an inaccurate story of events.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

Public Citizen is a Left Wing Progressive group originally founded by Ralph Nader. Nader is, basically, a Socialist who believes in the power of the State and private industry should be ended. The organizations he founded have the same philosophy, and are also willing worker bees for the Progressive Liberal Democrats. According to Influence Watch<\/a>, George Soros is one of their donors.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Speaker\u2019s release of security footage exclusively to Tucker Carlson is pure and simple using congressional resources for partisan gamesmanship \u2014 the very type of polarizing gamesmanship that has caused such damage to the public\u2019s perception of the integrity of Congress,\u201d the group wrote in its letter<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n

I wonder if they had this complain ready to go or just came up with it after Tucker Carlson\u2019s initial report? I suspect the former and were just waiting for the \u201cRight\u201d moment to make their complaint.<\/p>\n

McCarthy\u2019s decision to give Carlson the footage came in response to demands from Republican lawmakers who pushed the party leader for weeks to release the video. McCarthy has repeatedly defended his decision to share the footage with Carlson, arguing the release was important to ensure a transparent investigation into the Capitol riot. <\/b><\/p>\n

A number of the Republicans demanding the release of, basically everything, were there on the day of the protests. They saw first hand what was going on, and a lot of the January 6 Committee\u2019s narrative didn\u2019t fit with what these people actually saw.<\/p>\n

The House speaker has vowed to make the footage available to other news outlets once Carlson\u2019s crew is finished sifting through it, but it\u2019s unclear how long that may take. Public Citizen denounced McCarthy over the decision to provide the footage exclusively to Carlson, accusing the speaker of violating the First Amendment. <\/b><\/p>\n

Which is only right. What Tucker Carlson and Fox News have is what is called an \u201cExclusive.\u201d They beat the other news groups to the punch. There is also the issue that if McCarthy had given it to CNN, MSNBC or any of the other Fake News organizations, they would have buried so deep Indiana Jones wouldn\u2019t be able to find it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was wrong for Speaker McCarthy to provide this footage to one organization that happens to be politically aligned with him and not release the videos to the media generally at the same time,\u201d the letter states. \u201cThis is not like granting an exclusive interview; this is providing a valuable government resource exclusively to one news outlet and discriminating against others, which flies in the face of First Amendment values.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

Oh Please! There is a reason that most people flat out don\u2019t trust the Main Stream Media any longer. Take a look at CNN for instance. Under Jeff Zucker, it went from a news organization to a \u201cGet Trump at all costs!\u201d organization. CNN\u2019s credibility is shot and it will take years, possible decades to repair the damage.<\/p>\n

Several news outlets have requested access to the surveillance footage, including the Washington Post<\/i>, the New York Times<\/i>, Politico<\/i>, the Associated Press<\/i>, NBC News, CNN, Axios<\/i>, and others. Attorneys for the outlets argued the exclusive release to Carlson risks \u201can ideologically-based narrative \u2026 [to] take hold in the public consciousness.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

These losers will get the footage, but by then, the damage will be done to their masters in the Democrat Party. We\u2019re already seeing things that, if they had been known to a jury, would have garnered acquittals instead of convictions. Add to that all the political prisoners who are being illegally held without trial, and you can see why the left is upset. Their narrative and the ability to go after Trump supporters is now circling the drain.<\/p>\n

Now they are falling back on the one thing they can do. Revenge. They are hoping to damage Kevin McCarthy, but it won\u2019t work. He had to fight to get the speakers chair and he learned from that. I still don\u2019t trust him as far as I can throw him, but as long as he keeps doing what I consider to be the right thing, I\u2019ll back him.<\/p>\n
