Good day all. When I logged into my system this morning, I noticed one of my shortcuts had changed images. Not an uncommon occurrence. However, this was for Parler and the normal shortcut image had been replaced by some sort of notice. It looks like Parlor has been sold and taken offline.<\/p>\n

Parler suffered a near mortal blow in 2021 when Amazon Web Services declared them in violation of their Terms of Service and summarily shut them down and locked them out of their site. There was talk of a conspiracy between Amazon and Twitter and I do know court cases were filed. I don\u2019t know what the status of those are.<\/p>\n

Parler managed to rebuild themselves, but never regained the user base it had developed. While I did post to it, along with other sites, it\u2019s been Truth Social that has been growing in leaps and bounds, and it appears to have been at the expense of Parler. When I woke up and logged into my system, I noticed the image for Parler had changed significantly. This is what I found when I went to Parler.com:<\/p>\n

While the Parler app as it is currently constituted will be pulled down from operation to undergo a strategic assessment, we at Starboard see tremendous opportunities across multiple sectors to continue to serve marginalized or even outright censored communities \u2013 even extending beyond domestic politics.<\/b><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t see Parler coming back in it\u2019s original form. I attempted to access my accounts and they are gone. I have removed the link buttons from the sharing tools on the Blog. I\u2019m hoping that Truth Social will eventually become an option, and I am working to find a way to add the primary Social Media platform of the Greatest President of the 21st<\/sup> Century, Donald Trump as an option. Farewell Parler. You did your best, but Big Tech, even with the loss of Twitter, finally beat you down.<\/p>\n
