If there is a department that has long since outlived it\u2019s usefulness, it\u2019s the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA has, over the decades, assumed authority it was never given, and, until recently, has been allowed to get away with.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i.pinimg.com\/originals\/74\/e0\/e5\/74e0e559d01d9ff545e998e8ebf67e5c.jpg?resize=344%2C218&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"344\" height=\"218\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>That came to an end when the Supreme Court ruled against the EPA and struck down a lot of their rule making privileges. However, the EPA seems to think they are are not only above the law, that they are the law. Now they have begin issuing new rules that will shut down the United States power grid. <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/05\/12\/epa-bureaucrats-attempt-to-upend-energy-industry-ignoring-scotus-decision-that-says-they-cant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Here are the details from the Federalist<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><b>The Environmental Protection Agency announced new rules this week to regulate the fossil fuel industry out of business. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/not-shocked-face.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22810\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/not-shocked-face.jpg?resize=225%2C225\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/not-shocked-face.jpg?w=225&amp;ssl=1 225w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/not-shocked-face.jpg?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><b>New carbon pollution standards for coal and natural gas-fired power plants unveiled Thursday demand plants reduce their emissions by a staggering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/05\/11\/biden-rule-tells-power-plants-cut-climate-pollution-00095827\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">90 percent<\/a> within two decades or face closure. The new rules come less than a year after the Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/30\/supreme-court-strikes-blow-to-administrative-state-narrows-epa-authority-to-cap-carbon-emissions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">struck down<\/a> the agency\u2019s unilateral rule-making authority to implement emissions limits on existing power plants in <\/b><em><b>West Virginia v. EPA.<\/b><\/em><b> <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Never mind that what the EPA is doing has already been ruled illegal, it\u2019s also technologically impossible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201c<b>By proposing new standards for fossil fuel-fired power plants, EPA is delivering on its mission to reduce harmful pollution that threatens people\u2019s health and wellbeing,\u201d said EPA Administrator Michael Regan in a press release. \u201cEPA\u2019s proposal relies on proven, readily available technologies to limit carbon pollution and seizes the momentum already underway in the power sector to move toward a cleaner future.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/steaming_pile_of_horseshit.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-20194\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/steaming_pile_of_horseshit-300x223.jpg?resize=300%2C223\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"223\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/steaming_pile_of_horseshit.jpg?resize=300%2C223&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/steaming_pile_of_horseshit.jpg?w=500&amp;ssl=1 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In order to comply with these regulations, power stations would have to install technology that isn\u2019t In use anywhere in the United States. It would also force the closure of coal fired plants far earlier then they normally would be closed down. (They are slowly being retired as new and more efficient plants come on line&#8230;when they are allowed to) The EPA rules are also pushing the \u201cNew Green Deal\u201d claptrap for solar and wind power, which is neither efficient or stable, and certainly not cost effective.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><b>Tom Pyle, the president of the American Energy Alliance, told The Federalist the environmental regulations threaten to undermine the power grid if the proposed rules make it past the courts. <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201c<b>If this regulation survives a court challenge, which is very much in doubt,\u201d Pyle said, \u201cIt will lead to more blackouts and higher electricity prices.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p>It won\u2019t be temporary blackouts, the power grid will flat out collapse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201c<b>But the real point of the regulation is to immediately make it more difficult to invest in natural gas and coal-fired power plants,\u201d he added. The administrative obstacle to investment in the fossil fuel industry gives \u201cwoke Wall Street financiers like Larry Fink another excuse to justify [Environmental, Social, and Governance]-related lending and borrowing decisions at the same time.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Larry Fink needs to be sued into oblivion for violating his fiduciary responsibilities to to his investors. His actions have also damaged the security of the United States and continues to do so. However, this isn\u2019t about Fink, it\u2019s about the EPA and their assuming authority they do not have.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><b>In June, the Supreme Court overruled the EPA\u2019s authority to singlehandedly restructure the U.S. power grid without congressional approval. The challenge rose over President Barack Obama\u2019s effort to bypass Congress and impose the Clean Power Plan through the administrative state. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Of course, the EPA and the Deep State don\u2019t consider the Supreme Court to have any power over them. They\u2019re just going to ignore that little detail.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><b>Since the EPA\u2019s draft rule relies on new and unproven technologies to meet agency requirements, the new regulations present a sweeping transformation of the power grid. While ultimately up to the courts to decide, the broad impact of the proposal goes well beyond the scope of EPA authority that was narrowed by the high bench last summer. <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201c<b>Capping carbon dioxide emissions at a level that will force a nationwide transition away from the use of coal to generate electricity may be a sensible \u2018solution to the crisis of the day,&#8217;\u201d Chief Justice John Roberts wrote in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/opinions\/21pdf\/20-1530_n758.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">majority opinion<\/a> of <\/b><em><b>West Virginia v. EPA<\/b><\/em><b>. \u201cBut it is not plausible that Congress gave EPA the authority to adopt on its own such a regulatory scheme. \u2026 A decision of such magnitude and consequence rests with Congress itself, or an agency acting pursuant to a clear delegation from that representative body.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/i.pinimg.com\/originals\/35\/3b\/cd\/353bcd3d24ce03c0b3d66439c851b4c7.jpg?resize=276%2C182&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"276\" height=\"182\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Right now, the two proven methods of generating electricity that does not rely on fossil fuels, (Coal, Oil or Natural Gas), are nuclear and hydroelectric. Both of these are things that the Church of Global Warming and Climate Change hate and want dismantled. (Including tearing down dams) This isn\u2019t the first time the regulatory state has ignored pretty much everything regarding the Constitution, the Separation of Powers, the Rule of Law and common sense.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/snob_che_frame.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-16081\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/snob_che_frame-215x300.jpg?resize=215%2C300\" alt=\"\" width=\"215\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/snob_che_frame.jpg?resize=215%2C300&amp;ssl=1 215w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/snob_che_frame.jpg?w=268&amp;ssl=1 268w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 215px) 100vw, 215px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Right now there is another case coming up that could gut the regulatory state like a dead fish. The Supreme Court is going to hear a case regarding <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chevron_U.S.A.%2C_Inc._v._Natural_Resources_Defense_Council%2C_Inc.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Chevron Decision<\/a>. The Chevron decision was a case that was, like many other cases back then wrongly decided in favor of the government and the regulatory state. If the Supreme Court rules that the original decision was flawed and overturns it, it will be a hammer blow to the likes of the EPA.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/schadenboner.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-23127\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/schadenboner-246x300.jpg?resize=246%2C300\" alt=\"\" width=\"246\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/schadenboner.jpg?resize=246%2C300&amp;ssl=1 246w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/schadenboner.jpg?w=442&amp;ssl=1 442w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 246px) 100vw, 246px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The EPA, as a department, should have been closed down a good 20 years ago. It was set up to administer the funds to clean up all the Superfund sites. That has, by and large been completed. Now they are a classic example of Mission Creep.<\/p>\n<p>That they are ignoring a supreme court decision should have congress pulling their funding right now, and terminating anyone involved with these regulations from government employment and be permanently banned.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, that won\u2019t happen, certainly under the current maladministration.
