Good day all. For decades, the Ruling elites have been working to render the 2nd<\/sup> Amendment moot and strip firearms from the American people. The high water mark came under the Clinton regime when congress tried to ban semiautomatic rifles do to how they looked.<\/p>\n

That law expired 10 years later and gun sales took off. For the last 8 years or so, the number of NICS checks has averaged over 1 million. For the last 4 years it\u2019s been solidly over 1 million checks each month. Now a NICS check doesn\u2019t automatically mean someone bought a gun. Also, if someone is buying multiple guns, then they are all covered under a single NICS check. The upshot to all this is that more and more people are buying guns. What they aren\u2019t doing is talking about it. Here are some details from the Washington Examiner<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

A surge in \u201cquiet gun<\/a> owners,\u201d much like the so-called \u201csilent majority\u201d in political circles, is leading firearms analysts to believe that far more Americans own weapons than the accepted 30% cited in polls. <\/b><\/p>\n

At the highest end, it\u2019s possible that up to 60% of Americans own guns, especially with the pandemic-era rise in gun buying among women<\/a> and minorities, especially in suburban and urban areas. <\/b><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not at all surprised that women are arming up, and I actively encourage it. Your average woman is no match physically against an average man who intends to do her harm. There is a reason they call guns \u201cEqualizers.\u201d There are constant reports in the news of women, particularly mothers, using a gun to protect themselves and their children.<\/p>\n

At the lowest end, it\u2019s likely that at least 40% of Americans own guns, according to a groundbreaking study of those who lie to pollsters about firearms. <\/b><\/p>\n

I would say that low end is to low. The sales of firearms have been climbing for years. We\u2019ve seen repeated shortages of new firearms and particularly ammunition as new gun owners buy their first guns, ammunition for it and take lessons in how to use them and maintain them safely.<\/p>\n

The study from Rutgers University’s New Jersey Gun Violence Research Center is spreading like wildfire in the industry, which for years has tried to accurately estimate United States gun ownership and determine why polls show support for gun control, but then there is little follow through when legislation is proposed. <\/b><\/p>\n

The reason is simple. The polls showing support for suppression of the 2nd<\/sup> Amendment are, to put it kindly, bogus and rigged. The real polls are the voters and when some politician announces his plans to take away your rights and leave you to the gentle handling of the criminal elements, they soon get a very loud, in your face response from their constituents followed by unemployment after the next election.<\/p>\n

Reason Magazine\u2019s<\/b><\/i> J.D. Tuccille put part of the study in the spotlight in an early July post<\/a> that began the buzz in the gun industry about the potential of far higher U.S. gun ownership. <\/b>He highlighted the study\u2019s conclusion that nearly a third of those polled might be lying when they deny having a firearm. <\/b><\/p>\n

Tuccille wrote, \u201cThe report dealt in probabilities, with the researchers building profiles of confirmed gun owners. They then applied the profiles across their sample of 3,500 respondents to estimate who was likely fibbing about not owning guns. The results depend on the probability threshold applied, but they came up with 1,206 confirmed owners, between 1,243 and 2,059 non-owners, and between 220 and 1,036 potential but secretive owners lying about their status.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

Gee, why would people lie about owning firearms? Could it be that they don\u2019t want the government knowing they have them? Or, perhaps, they don\u2019t want criminals to know that their intended victims have the means of defending themselves? Perhaps they don\u2019t want their liberal anti-gun friends to know they are packing.<\/p>\n

That caught the attention of Stephen Gutowski, founder of <\/b>The Reload<\/b><\/i><\/a> blog, who featured Tuccille yesterday in a video post about the numbers and potential impact of the study. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is something that we assumed, perhaps, for a long time,\u201d said Gutowski. \u201cBut now there is a study that is quantifying it to some degree. I mean, the amount that they put on it is that almost half the people who said that they don\u2019t own guns fit the model, at least to a certain threshold, for people who do own guns. So that\u2019s a huge discrepancy. That put \u2014 the number would rocket up from something like 33% into the 60 percentage range,\u201d he added. <\/b><\/p>\n

Tuccille described those who \u201cfib\u201d as \u201cquiet gun owners\u201d who may be driven to be untruthful to pollsters because they are worried about the government or their neighbors finding out they own guns. <\/b><\/p>\n

When you have people like Beta-male O\u2019Rourke flat out announcing that if he\u2019s in charge, he\u2019s going to send out agents to crash your door and take your guns, people take him and others like him at their word. This is one reason that small boat insurance rates are so high.<\/p>\n

He and Gutowski said that the likelihood of far greater U.S. gun ownership than cited by major polling outfits such as Pew and Gallup could have a big impact on lawmakers pushing gun control. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThere is actually a lot of import to this,\u201d Tuccille told Gutowski. For example, he said, if the study is accurate, then it\u2019s not just conservatives who own guns and liberal efforts to \u201cpunish\u201d the Right by targeting guns will fail. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ll end up hurting your own political base,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cIt\u2019s no longer safe to target a good if you want to punish an enemy.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

People are looking at places like Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and other deep blue cities and states where the Progressive Liberal Democrats have worked to strip away people\u2019s means to defend themselves and then turned around and enabled the criminals who prey on the innocent and honest people. Eventually, these people wake up, (Or regain consciousness after being beaten half to death by a criminal who was released by a Soros DA), and decide they need a gun.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

He also wrote in Reason,<\/i> \u201cWith gun ownership becoming increasingly common beyond the traditional ranks of white suburban-to-rural men, there are big implications for politics and policy. New gun owners will certainly resist proposals to strip them of self-defense tools they acquired out of necessity.” <\/b><\/p>\n

If you go into a gun range these days, you are going to see a great cross section of Americans, and lawful resident aliens either learning how to use guns or practicing with them. This drives the hard left insane. One of the amusing things the racist leftists like to ask\/say is \u201cIf more black people buy guns, you bet those racist redneck Trump supporting MAGA white people will be in favor of gun control.\u201d<\/p>\n

What actually happens is said white people watching said black people at the range and offering comments on techniques and admiring said black person\u2019s choices in firearms. The thing Liberal Progressive Democrat racists hate is when a white male turns to a black male, black female or any other so called minority and asks, \u201cHi! Want to go to the range?\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, “They’re also likely to resent restrictive policies that urban, left-of-center politicians promote to torment gun owners once assumed to be safe targets, but which apply to anybody who owns firearms no matter where they live and vote. Basically, the gun-ownership landscape is growing and changing, but new owners are even more reticent than established ones about revealing their existence to researchers and government officials.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

The Hard Left Progressive Blue city and state Democrats do not believe in the 2nd<\/sup> Amendment, except for themselves and their personal security details. They also know, perhaps subconsciously, that the 2nd<\/sup> Amendment was written so that people would have the tools they need to remove these self same politicians when they start going full tyrant. (That would be the absolute final resort and best to be avoided)<\/p>\n

We are also seeing more and more stories of citizens using guns to protect themselves and their families from the criminals that the Democrat Politicians seem to consider to be important. Most of these cases, we have people who are carrying a concealed firearm in accordance with the Constitution and the local laws. When they are forced to use them, the police show up 10-15 minutes later, if they show up at all.<\/p>\n

In those circumstances, depending on the location, the citizen is either patted on the back, or, more often then not, vilified by the media for daring to not let themselves be killed. Then you see all the \u201cUsual Suspect\u201d blaming the victim and demanding guns be taken away from the innocent, law abiding people. Is it any wonder that most people won\u2019t admit to owning firearms? Finally I have one last question. How do we get guns in the hands of the remaining 40% of Americans?<\/p>\n
