Hello everyone, this is the Angry Systems Administrator. I\u2019ve been slaving away keeping the Blog up and running. (The old Rant site is in archive mode and isn\u2019t being updated any longer) I\u2019ve had reports of a few issues and I have been fixing them.<\/p>\n

One report was a problem with the contact forms for myself and the moron<\/i><\/span> Angry Webmaster. It looks like the Captcha decided to escape and wasn\u2019t working. We were notified by someone on Mewe and I took a look into it. It was a Google thing of course, and I\u2019ve fixed it and it\u2019s working now.<\/p>\n

The other thing you might notice is that the site is now showing an SSL certificate padlock. SSL was initiated by our hosting company, (Which they neglected to mention to us), and I discovered it was working when I visited another site that also uses the same service. One of the admins mentioned it was working and that it kept dropping out.<\/p>\n

I checked both the blog and the main site and found that if you use https, the site loads securely. I should do some work on the main site to make it redirect to https, however that\u2019s going to take a bit of research and the site isn\u2019t being updated any longer. On the other hand, the blog is very active, (We can\u2019t get that raving lunatic to shut up), so getting that to redirect securely was rather important.<\/p>\n

It looks like I\u2019ve got that sorted out as well. If you go to http:\/\/angry.net\/blog2<\/a> it will automagically redirect to https:\/\/angry.net\/blog2<\/a>. This should shut Googlag up about the site not being secured. We never bothered getting an SSL certificate due to the costs. I can\u2019t say where the hosting company got the certificate, and since we\u2019re not paying for it over our monthly subscription, I don\u2019t care.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m now looking into setting up some redirects. Right off the bat, I\u2019m either going to change the paths to the blog from angry.net\/blog2 to blog.angry.net or I may just redirect www.angry.net<\/a> to the blog and put something up like archive.angry.net or rants.angry.net. I\u2019m going to need to do some serious research on this and have a back out plan in case, or more likely when things go horribly horribly wrong.<\/p>\n
