Good day all. It looks like Israel might just be ready to start ground operation into Gaza. One of the issues they are going to face is the locations where Hamas puts all their equipment and command centers. Under International rules of War, (If there is any such thing), you don\u2019t use what is considered to be neutral ground.<\/p>\n

This would include things like Religious centers, (Churches, Synagogues and Mosques), schools that are in use and hospitals. Hamas is intentionally using these very buildings to manufacture and store munitions, as barracks for their cannon fodder as well as command centers. One of these is Al-Shifa Hospital. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

The Israeli Defense Forces<\/a> (IDF) is alleging the discovery of a Hamas military base under their largest hospital. The IDF has released images and accompanying graphics claiming an extensive command post exists under Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. <\/b><\/p>\n

“Hamas terrorists operate inside and under Shifa hospital \u2014 and other hospitals in Gaza \u2014 with a network of terror tunnels,” said IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari. “Shifa is not the only hospital \u2014 it is one of many. Hamas-use of hospitals is systematic.” <\/b><\/p>\n

The hospital in question has 1500 beds and some 4000 staffers, some of whom might actually be doctors and nurses.<\/p>\n

“We have concrete evidence that hundreds of terrorists flooded into the hospital to hide there after the massacres of October 7,” he added. <\/b><\/p>\n

Hamas has, of course, denied that they are using the hospital as a base of operations.<\/p>\n

Izzat al-Rishq said that “these lies represent a prelude to a new massacre against our people, greater than the one of the al-Ahli Baptist Hospital” \u2014 referring to the Oct. 17 blast that U.S. intelligence determined was likely caused by an Islamic Jihad rocket misfiring. Hamas has blamed Israel for the explosion and accused the Jewish state of committing war crimes against the Palestinian people. <\/b><\/p>\n

“Over 40,000 have sought refuge in Al-Shifa hospital, as they were displaced by the bombing that hit everything,” al-Rishq said. “We call on the leaders of Arab and Muslim countries to take action and stop the genocide against our people.” <\/b><\/p>\n

First, no one who isn\u2019t an antisemitic Neo-Nazi progressive university student or staff member believes a word that Hamas says. They last time they made a claim about Israel bombing a hospital, it turned out to be a Hamas rocket that landed in the parking lot.<\/p>\n

It is not uncommon for Hamas militants to intentionally embed military infrastructure into civilian spaces in order to make targeted strikes collaterally damaging. <\/b><\/p>\n

Another way to say this is that they are using people as human shields. This is standard operating procedure for terrorists. They\u2019re cowards at heart. The hard thing for Israel is what they are going to do when they start moving on these hospitals and other locations that normally army\u2019s usually try to avoid and start taking fire.<\/p>\n

During the Gulf wars, the United States had to deal with this when Iraq would set up antiaircraft guns next to schools and hospitals. They came up with an interesting technique. They mounted guidance systems on concrete blivets. These are basically bomb shaped blocks of cement. They would drop these on the guns and missiles and literally smash them to pieces. The collateral damage was a lot of concrete dust.<\/p>\n

With these hospitals and other locations, a lot of the Hamas terrorists, equipment and munitions are in basements and tunnels under the buildings. I have no doubt at all that if\/when Israel starts moving on these locations, Hamas is going to blow them up and use the massive civilian casualties to blame Israel. The only thing Israel can do is ignore public comments and do what they have to do to annihilate Hamas. This is going to be a dirty war and it\u2019s all on Hamas.<\/p>\n
