Good day all. There has been question regarding Senator Joe Manchin, (D-West Virginia), on whether or not he would run for reelection next year. Well we have an answer now. He is not going to seek a third term.<\/p>\n

Manchin is completing his second full term as Senator, (He won a special election to replace Robert Byrd when he finally kicked the bucket), and there was a great deal of speculation if he could win a third full term in the deeply red state. Frankly, the answer is no, and rather then be crushed at the polls, he decided to do a Romney and quit. Here are some of the details from CNN<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia will not run for reelection in 2024, the moderate Democrat announced on social media Thursday, a blow for his party\u2019s chances to hold control of the Senate in next year\u2019s election. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cAfter months of deliberation and long conversation with my family, I believe, in my heart of hearts, that I have accomplished what I set out to do for West Virginia,\u201d Manchin said in a message posted on social media. \u201cI have made one of the toughest decisions of my life, and decided that I will not be running for reelection to United States Senate.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n
