It appears that Bellows is a box wine drinking A.W.F.U.L. (Angry White Female Urban Liberal) She is claiming that voter ID laws are the actions of White Supremacists. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n The Maine official who moved to disqualify former <\/b>President Trump<\/b><\/u><\/a> from the state’s 2024 Republican primary ballot last week has previously said that voter ID laws are “rooted in White supremacy.” <\/b><\/p>\n Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows<\/a> made the claim while giving testimony to the legislature in April 2021, expressing her opposition to proposed state laws that would require voters to show photo identification to cast a ballot. <\/b><\/p>\n “Passing these bills would mean putting into statute discriminatory practices rooted in White supremacy,” Bellows said during her testimony. “Today, voter ID laws are the new means of voter suppression.” <\/b><\/p>\n “These bills would not only negatively impact people of color but also the elderly, transient, people with disabilities, students and low-income communities. In order to make our democracy as representative as possible, we cannot enact practices that would shut out certain members of society,” she added. <\/b><\/p>\n Where to begin with this? How about using Georgia as an example. They passed and put in place a voter ID law, which the Democrats attacked, and yet the first election held after it was implemented actually saw an increase in the number of people that Bellows said would be denied. What she is actually saying is that voter ID laws make it much harder for the Democrats the cheat and steal elections.<\/p>\n Bellows’ opposition to the proposed laws, which did not pass, came as Democrats in a number of states opposed largely Republican-led efforts to pass laws aimed at ensuring election integrity<\/a> in the wake of the 2020 presidential election, most notably in Georgia, where some dubbed a similar bill “Jim Crow 2.0.” <\/b><\/p>\n And, as I mentioned above, what actually happened was dead opposite of the claims of Lying Liberals. However, this Totalitarian wannabe didn\u2019t stop with voter ID laws and securing the vote, she is also opposed to how this country was set up in the first place.<\/p>\n It also surfaced last week that Bellows, who represented <\/b>Maine’s 14th District<\/b><\/u><\/a> in the state Senate for roughly four years and has served as the secretary of state since 2021, previously referred to the Electoral College as a “relic of white supremacy.” <\/b><\/p>\n Oh this should be interesting. Let\u2019s see just how stupid she actually is. (Which is pretty stupid)<\/p>\n She took aim at the Electoral College<\/a> in her column, calling it “the relic of white supremacy” that prevents voters from being represented fairly. <\/b><\/p>\n Shortly after taking office, Bellows penned an op-ed for a progressive platform known as the Democracy Docket. In her piece titled “Voting Rights for Our Neighbors Matter As Much as Our Own,” she touted her efforts to make “voting more accessible” and said she sought the position of secretary of state because she “was truly frightened for our democracy” after the 2020 presidential election. <\/b><\/p>\n She took aim at the Electoral College<\/a> in her column, calling it “the relic of white supremacy” that prevents voters from being represented fairly. <\/b><\/p>\n Obviously, Bellows has no idea why the Founders did what they did. As far as she\u2019s concerned, they should be ignored and reviled and anything they did declared wrongthink and destroyed. Like all modern Democrats, she loves to say that she is \u201cProtecting our Democracy,\u201d when she\u2019s doing the opposite. She is also forgetting that technically, the United States isn\u2019t a Democracy, it\u2019s a Republic.<\/p>\n I was curious as to how Shenna Bellows became the Secretary of State. It turns out that the office is not an elected position. She was chosen by the state legislature. Here is how it works according to that font of highly accurate misinformation, Wikipedia<\/a>:<\/p>\n The secretary of state is elected biannually by ballot of members of both houses of the Maine Legislature assembled together, identical in procedure to its neighbor, New Hampshire. The position is elected at the start of the first session of the Maine Legislature, which also sits for a two-year term, concurrent with the other constitutional officers of Maine.<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n If I\u2019m doing my math correctly, it looks like this SCoaMF will be in office until next year. This means she will be available to cause all sorts of mischief during the 2024 election season. I have a sneaking suspicion that Bellows may be looking for a new job when the Maine Legislature sits to choose the Secretary of State.<\/p>\n Bellows, like most Progressive Liberal Democrats, is learning what FAFO means. I doubt she anticipated the anal probe of her life that is now underway.
