Good day all. Recently, Harvard\u2019s diversity hire, Claudine Gay, resigned after it was discovered that she plagiarized significant portions of the papers she submitted. No mention was made of her or Harvard\u2019s structural antisemitism.<\/p>\n

What has started to happen is that the Left is accusing conservatives of using plagiarism as a new attack weapon. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n

The Associated Press is the subject of sharp conservative scorn after it suggested plagiarism was a “new weapon” for conservatives after Claudine Gay stepped down<\/a> as the president of Harvard following plagiarism allegations. <\/b><\/p>\n

“Harvard president\u2019s resignation highlights new conservative weapon against colleges: plagiarism,” an AP headline read on Wednesday. A spokesperson told Fox News Digital on Wednesday that the piece was not up to standards and is in the process of being updated. It has since changed its headline to “Plagiarism charges downed Harvard\u2019s president. A conservative attack helped to fan the outrage.” <\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

And AP wonders why no one pays any attention to them any longer? It\u2019s idiocy like this. Claudine Gay basically stole other people\u2019s work and lied about it. Perhaps Associated (With terrorists) Press might want to consider the reactions if one of their journalists stole another journalists work and claimed it as his or her own? That person would be out the door so fast it would cause a sonic boom.<\/p>\n

The Associated Press<\/a> article was mocked on X, formerly known as Twitter, and its text and hostile framing against conservatives received several community notes. <\/b><\/p>\n

Like other liberal outlets, the AP was troubled by the messengers in the case of Gay’s ouster. <\/b><\/p>\n

“In Gay\u2019s case, many academics were troubled with how the plagiarism came to light: as part of a coordinated campaign to discredit Gay and force her from office, in part because of her involvement in efforts for racial justice on campus,” the AP reported. “The campaign against Gay and other Ivy League presidents has become part of a broader right-wing effort to remake higher education, which has often been seen as a bastion of liberalism. Republican detractors have sought to gut funding for public universities, roll back tenure and banish initiatives that make colleges more welcoming to students of color, disabled students and the LGBTQ+ community. They also have aimed to limit how race and gender are discussed in classrooms.” <\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Here you are seeing the mindset of the typical progressive liberal. They are absolute racists and sexists. They assume that people who are not white males are to incompetent and\/or stupid to succeed on their own. It requires that the \u201cGreat white fathers and mothers\u201d give them special privileges based solely on skin color and gender. Competence and skills do not matter.<\/p>\n

It did acknowledge, “Reviews by conservative activists and then by a Harvard committee did find multiple shortcomings in Gay\u2019s academic citations. In dozens of instances first published by The Washington Free Beacon, a conservative website, Gay\u2019s work includes long stretches of prose that mirror language from other published works.” <\/b><\/p>\n

So, basically, she pulled a Biden and stole other people\u2019s work and claimed it as her own? Got it! I asked a question above about how AP would handle plagiarism among their own staff.<\/p>\n

The AP has a page<\/a> about its news values and principles where it says it’s unacceptable for its reporters to plagiarize. <\/b><\/p>\n

“An AP staffer who reports and writes a story must use original content, language and phrasing. We do not plagiarize, meaning that we do not take the work of others and pass it off as our own,” the site says. <\/b><\/p>\n

Obviously, if Associated with Terrorists Press didn\u2019t have double standards, they would have no standards at all. In point of fact, AP was called out and soundly thrashed by everyone on both sides of the political fence. (Mostly the right of course, but some Democrats blasted them as well) This hasn\u2019t stopped AP from doubling down on stupid.<\/p>\n

The Associated Press noted that plagiarism was “a cardinal sin in academia,” before declaring it to be a “weapon” for conservatives.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n

“The plagiarism allegations came not from her academic peers but her political foes, led by conservatives who sought to oust Gay and put her career under intense scrutiny in hopes of finding a fatal flaw,” the AP reported.<\/a> <\/b><\/p>\n

And Progressive Liberal Propaganda organizations just like AP haven\u2019t done the exact same thing to anyone they oppose?<\/p>\n

Gay is still, sadly, employed at Harvard, thanks to having Tenure. Worse, she is still getting the same salary she had as president. I am certainly no expert on how Tenure works, but I do believe that stealing other people\u2019s work and claiming it as your own is grounds to be stripped of tenure and shown the door. I\u2019m sure that Harvard is looking into this right now.<\/p>\n
