The now former chairman of the Arizona State Republican Party waas forced to resign after it came out that he tried to bribe Senate Candidate Kari Lake to not run for office.<\/p>\n

Kari Lake ran for governor in 2022 and lost under questionable circumstances. She has been talking about the disaster that is Maricopa County\u2019s election system, as well as other problems with the 2022 elections. Now that former Democrat Kyrsten Sinema up for reelection, (Sinema left the party about a year ago), Kari Lake threw her hat into the ring.<\/p>\n
This led to the old Firebug McCain Republicans to throw a fit. The last thing they want is another supporter of the Greatest President of the 21st<\/sup> Century, Donald Trump, making it into the Senate. This led to the Chairman of the State GOP to try and pressure Lake to drop out. Unfortunately for Jeff DeWit, Kari Lake recorded the conversation. Now he has resigned. Here are the details from Arizona\u2019s Family<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n The Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party has resigned amid a growing number of calls to step down after a British tabloid released clips of him reportedly trying to \u201cbribe\u201d former gubernatorial candidate and television news anchor Kari Lake to not run for Senate. <\/b><\/p>\n The verified audio recording obtained by the Daily Mail<\/a> reveals party chair Jeff DeWit asking Lake to \u201cJust say, is there a number at which,\u201d that appears to signify Lake to essentially \u201cname her price.\u201d Lake is heard in the audio tape taking offense to the remark, stating, \u201cI can be bought? That\u2019s what it\u2019s about.\u201d The clip continues with DeWit saying: \u201cYou can take a pause for a couple of years. You can go right back to what you\u2019re doing.\u201d To which Lake replies, \u201cThis is not about money, it\u2019s about our country.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n At the time of the recording last March, Lake was waging an unsuccessful court fight challenging her loss in the 2022 race for Arizona governor<\/a> and gearing up for a U.S. Senate campaign. Meanwhile, Republicans in Washington, bruised by a disappointing showing in the midterms, were talking openly about plans to seek GOP Senate nominees who would be more viable in general elections. <\/b><\/p>\n I mentioned that Kari Lake was challenging the results of the 2022 election. The mess that is Maricopa County is well known. What wasn\u2019t talked a lot about was another county reporting that they had some issues with their vote count and the election officials asking for time to verify everything. They were threatened with arrest by the secretary of states office if they didn\u2019t announce that Katie Hobbs had won.<\/p>\n As for the GOP wanting more RINO\u2019s to run, this was all due to the RNC and Cocaine Mitch \u201cBrainfeeze\u201d McConnell pulling the rug out from under a number of viable candidates at the last minute. The reason for this? None of them were going to support McConnell and all of them support President Trump and the idea of Making America Great Again.<\/p>\n DeWit said in a statement announcing his exit that the tape was \u201cselectively edited\u201d and used in a \u201cdeceptive\u201d way. He claims that despite the conversation appearing against Lake, she was actually employed by him in DeWit\u2019s private company. DeWit claims since that conversation, that Lake has been on a \u201cmission to destroy\u201d him. <\/b><\/p>\n Well, the answer to \u201cSelectively editing\u201d the recording is to release the entire recording. I will state that I have not heard the recording and make no claims regarding it being edited or not.<\/p>\n \u201cI said things I regret, but I realize when hearing Lake\u2019s recording that I was set up. I believe she orchestrated this entire situation to have control over the state party,\u201d the statement read in part. The decision to step down on Wednesday was part of an \u201cultimatum,\u201d DeWit said, adding that the Lake campaign threatened the release of a \u201cmore damaging\u201d recording. \u201cI am truly unsure of its contents, but considering our numerous past open conversations as friends, I have decided not to take the risk,\u201d DeWit said. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cI am resigning as Lake requested, in the hope that she will honor her commitment to cease her attacks, allowing me to return to the business sector-\u2014a field I find much more logical and prefer over politics,\u201d DeWit continued in the letter, explaining his decision and his plans for the future. <\/b><\/p>\n Did she set him up or did Kari lake simply let DeWit run off at the mouth? Kari Lake is a journalist\/reporter and knows when to simply sit back and let someone hang themselves. James O\u2019Keefe has built a business on this. DeWit is simply trying to climb out of the hole he dug for himself.<\/p>\n One of the things I\u2019ve read regarding this was that DeWit said that \u201cHigher ups\u201d or \u201cOther people\u201d wanted Lake to drop out and that they were aware of what he, DeWit was doing and supported it.<\/p>\n If that is accurate, then the problem is with the entirety of the Arizona state GOP and potentially others high in the Republican National Committee. It\u2019s well known that the Establishment GOP hates President Trump and has nothing but contempt for his supporters. They would rather lose gracefully and be thrown a financial bone by the Democrats then win elections if it means ceding power and privilege to people they consider yokels.<\/p>\n I don\u2019t know how all this will play out. Senator Sinema is running as an independent and is being challenged on the left by the Democrats and on the Right by Kari Lake. With the invasion of illegal aliens thanks to the Democrat\u2019s throwing open the border, it\u2019s probably going to come down to KarI Lake and Krysten Sinema. Who will win? We will find out in November.
