Cori Bush is a \u201cDemocratic Socialist,\u201d (That would be Communist anywhere else), a racist and typical of people of her political ilk, considers herself to be above the laws. She has managed to anger a large segment of the country and embarrassed the Democrat Elites. Now they\u2019ve instructed Merrick Garland to get rid of her. Here are the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n The Justice Department<\/a> is investigating “Squad” member Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., over the alleged misuse of government funds intended to pay for her security, two sources tell Fox News.<\/b><\/p>\n The probe is related to allegations of federal security money being spent improperly, the sources said. <\/b><\/p>\n A subpoena announcement was read on the House floor Monday, and sources said it was related to the investigation into Bush.<\/strong><\/p>\n I read about that this morning when I was going through the news. At the time, no one knew who they were going after. I suspect a lot of people thought, considering how Merrick Garland has so weaponized the DoJ, that they were going after a Republican who was humiliating Dementia Joe Biden. Consider my surprise when I read that it was Squad Member Cori Bush. Actually, I wasn\u2019t surprised. We\u2019ve been reading about her corruption for a while now.<\/p>\n Basically, she\u2019s been using her office\/campaign funds to pay for private security. Many people pointed out her hypocrisy since she\u2019s been a big proponent of defunding the police and releasing criminals. Add to that her desire to confiscate all privately owned firearms and you can see how she thinks. (If you can call it thinking) The problem with all this is that she\u2019s been giving the money to her husband claiming he was her bodyguard.<\/p>\n Fox reached out to Bush\u2019s office for a comment, and they did confirm that the DoJ was reviewing her spending on security. Then she promptly blamed conservatives for the investigation.<\/p>\n The congresswoman blamed “right-wing organizations”<\/a> for the DOJ probe, as well as other investigations into the matter by the Federal Election Commission and the House Committee on Ethics.\u00a0“I have not used any federal tax dollars for personal security services. Any reporting that I have used federal funds for personal security is simply false,” she said in part.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n Apparently she is blaming this on a watchdog group called the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT). They filed a formal complaint with the Federal Election Commission in 2023 and this may have started the ball rolling.<\/p>\n “In her own FEC filings the payments were initially characterized as being for ‘security.’ Among the many troubling facts involved that we strongly felt justified an investigation were her close personal relationship, her large payments to others for the same services at the same time, and that her husband reportedly didn\u2019t have a license to provide those services,” FACT executive director Kendra Arnold said in a statement obtained by Fox News Digital.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n “Unfortunately, after our complaint was filed, Rep. Bush changed the language on her disclosure describing the continuing payments to her husband to something amorphous and vague, ‘wage payments,’ which at a minimum is contrary to the purpose of the law to clearly describe the purposes of campaign disbursements,” she said. “Our hope, as it always is with our complaints, is that a thorough and fair investigation reveals the truth of the matter and whether any legal violations have occurred.” <\/b><\/p>\n As I mentioned before, the first news about this broke this morning when the DoJ delivered a Subpoena to the House of Representatives.<\/p>\n In a message read aloud by a House clerk on Monday to notify Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., House Sergeant at Arms William McFarland relayed that his office received a grand jury subpoena for documents issued by the Justice Department and added that the sergeant of arms office would comply with that subpoena. The message did not elaborate further. <\/b><\/p>\n Speculation swirled on social media about what the DOJ probe could be about, including whether it was related to Jan. 6, but sources later pointed to Bush instead.\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
